Indeed, a saying i saw or heard someone say, dont remember, is that LSD is like driving a car extremely fast and wrecklessly. On mushrooms you are a passenger in that car. My heroic mushroom doses are more intense than even my strongest LSD doses.
 
... we're comparing starting doses for the purpose of introduction to psychedelics, not how intense both could be

imo, a small dose of shrooms is a good intro to something like 2 doses of acid (1 dose of acid doesn't prepare you nearly as well, imo)
 
I would say that 1 hit of decent acid is the proper introduction to psychedelics.

Shrooms can get negative, 2C-X's don't present a complete view of what psychedelics encompass.

Really, LSD is THE psychedelic to which all else is compared and contrasted with in discourse, and which is really the "standard" psychedelic, at the center of the spectrum of psychedelics on most metrics... I think starting with anything else will start you off with a lopsided impression of psychedelics >.>
 
then I'd say take 2 doses of lsd

honestly, to me, 1 dose wasn't the same sort of experience
 
I took 1 tab of acid my first psychedelic experience. It was amazing. After a few more acid trips I took 2 grams of mushrooms and wasn't impressed. LSD is the standard and I recommend it for your first foray into the world of psychedelia!

No one here knows how strong the acid you can get is, so ask someone you know who has tried the same batch, i.e. whoever you get it from, and find out how much is a good dose for a first timer. Sometimes acid is weak so you may need to take more than 1, but my first experience was great on 1 hit.

the reasons mushrooms became so intense for me had a lot to do with past lsd use.
As of right now this shit is so intense for me and at such low doses that I feel like I cant take them any more. Certainly not just for a fun time. It just got better and better until I felt like my head would explode. (And no I didnt abuse them like some party animal candy kid, I took this stuff very seriously).

I think both are great for starting out.
For me I noticed the changes I had made to myself, and my own neurology after having used lsd a few times. Thats COMPLETELY why my first mushroom trip just blew my fucking mind years and years ago.
Some people thought 2 grams was no big deal. Well that was my first trip on them and it made me trip super hard......so I ate more.


LSD is perfect for a first trip. Unless you know how you handle lsd, I would give advise and say dont take more than 1.5-2 hits your first time. 1.5 IMO..........................................

We used to get some crazy sexy brittle geltabs of lsd from europe years ago. Same blue ones you will see on the erowid lsd pictures section.

If it was your first time, you wouldnt want to be taking 2 of those bad boys. That would be fuggin retarded and your dealer would hopefully tell you that.
Thats why I say 1.5 hits is a good way to get to know what you are dealing with.
If you are lucky as a first time tripper it will blow your mind. That means you have some quality material.

So Im just saying lsd is a GREAT starting off point as long as you are careful with it and get to know your dose/batch.
 
They're both very different drugs IME.

Just do the one that you can find first. Keep in mind that for most people they're not recreational drugs like booze and herb can be for most people.

If you get excellent LSD or mushrooms both are very nice. I've taken low doses/weaker doses of acid and while it was OK I highly prefer higher doses of it.

I don't trip anymore but when I did, I preferred shrooms because I could tell what I was getting and that it was real (I have never gotten fake acid or an RC instead of LSD but some people have) and you can sort of gauge how hard you'll trip on certain species of mushrooms and 5g would be a very intense trip but I never did more than 2g and I'd still get an intense mushroom experience complete with ego loss.
 
I took my first tab yesterday, let me tell you, it's amazing! It opens up a whole new world you never knew existed before.

Try whichever one you come across first - so long as you're keen & in a good set & setting it oughtn't to matter which is tried first - both are amazing drugs.


LSD lasts longer & is usually more stimulating - mushrooms are prone to perhaps cause more anxiety in some people.
 
acid is much stronger,both mentally and visually.mushrooms tend to have more physical effects like an intense body high.but yes, i very much recommend mushrooms before acid.

i find acid and shrooms equal with respect to mental and visual effects. it completely depends on the dose. a higher dose or stronger hits/mushrooms is always stronger than a medium dose (or mediocre tabs/shrooms respectively)...

as i find mushrooms anxiogenic whereas lsd for me has a positive push i'd recommend exactly the opposite.
 
I've not tried mushrooms, but the consensus among more educated psychedelic communities seems to be that mushroom trips are a far more prone to anxiety/difficulty than acid trips. I don't know how or where the rumor that acid is "more intense" or "more dangerous" than mushies came about, but it's totally false and rather annoying.

I'd recommend 1.5 hits of LSD in, of course, a nice set/setting. Low/medium dose LSD is a great, clearheaded, sunshine & smiles sort of high. With weaker tabs, it won't be a total underdose, but even with pretty strong tabs it won't be too much for a first time.

totally agreed. You don't get pushed into the realm of LSD unless it's 2+ doses IMO, especially if its weaker LSD. This was my case, i took one hit of lsd + 2 rolls and some molly and I only got more vibrant colors(possibly from the MDMA) no real fractals or morphing of anything, nor the headspace lsd puts you in... but that may have been because i was rolling so hard :|. IMO I would take a low dose of mushrooms first, maybe like 1.5 grams then work your way up steadily until an eighth. I wouldn't take 1 hit of lsd because it tends to be more confusing and not the real experience as if you were to eat a few more doses. It's all up to you though! I tend to get a lot of mind fuck on shrooms if i'm not in a good setting, on lsd i'm just in awe of everything.

The argument I hear the most about this is that mushrooms are natural and therefore healthier than lsd. Also acid went through the guantlet of government propaganda on a pretty big scale unlike mushrooms.

I hear people all the time swear up and down that they will never touch acid but are excited about trying mushrooms or mdma.

Why dont 2c's present the complete view of what psychedelics encompass? Are you saying they are more selective in their action?

I never got that whole mentality. Just bc something is natural has nothing to do with it being healthy. ITs how the chemical interacts with your body. It could be harmless like lsd or deadly like risen that is found in tapioka root...
 
Yeah, poison ivy is totally natural - it must be a completely harmless skin moisturizer, let's use it as such!

But really, if you give credence to the idea that natural entheogens are divine creations and hold the specific purpose of serving humans, then why can't human intelligence and scientific progress be viewed as a divine gift for the purpose of self-aid?
