[Comparison Subthread] Acid vs. Mushrooms

lsd is more pure,clearheaded,overanalyzing,visual,positive photon trip

shrooms bring more body feelings ( higher dosage,higher toxicity ),more mental confusion ( distorted mind ),they dont stimulate your IQ so much like acid,visuals arent so complex,sharp and mathematical,they are more primal,earthy.Shrooms are much more prone to cause feeling of fear,blackouts and triptardation.Shrooms visuals are more distorted and earthy but less intense and less colorfull.


LSD is light,SHROOMS are darkness.... when combined with right timing and dosage they create most wonderfull synergy,its like they are created to be taken together.Its deepest spiritual combo I ever had and I had shitload of things together.They are spiritual equaly,just in different way... lsd enlights your intelligence,mushrooms enlight that animal deep in your brain.


I like LSD more becose of incredible body rush first hour after droping 1mg+ doses,possitive,easier to control mind state,better visuals and music enhancement and more powerfull creativity,longer duration,lower toxicity...

LSD vs Psilocybin......... I looked into this thread as I have done neither in over 10 years!
Amazingly this thread seems to be one of the oldest in Blue Light History! There must be something to its content!

I have had amazing experiences with both, having only taken each a few times. My next splash will be with Mushrooms, as I am getting ready to cultivate some of my own.

I read about Gordon Wasson's experiences with the psilocybes in the 1950's in Mexico and wondered... What? No one in the US was aware that these things are growing nearly world wide and could have cut off nearly all the hysteria given to Timothy Leary?

My take on this is that the infamous War On Drugs has become so toxic that any possibility that any drug could provide useful information to anyone- that it could actually help anyone-
That idea has become so toxic that conversation about this is completely banned. How sad!
How miserable. The truth needs to get out! I am not an angry person, but what fills me with rage the most is when I have been lied to! Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining!
 
Very different experiences/substances

but when I took both at once the experience was pretty undefineable in terms of small effects that would allow me to seperate the two while on them.

mushrooms always put personal iisues of mine right in my face. psychosomatic inner battles that can lead me to a small purge/alot of stretching yawning at the beggining of a trip.

LSD is less predictable when I take it. I tend to be less social on LSD but that could just be me worrying that less people are cool with it than mushrooms, usually people who have tried neither .

however if i'm out of town closer to the woods and it's nighttime I can be rather bold on LSD. speak philosophical circles around certain subjects. guide fellow trippers.

Mushrooms are more guided and personal, personally more visual too.

LSD is more like mind squared, an awesome tool, and a real wake up call.
 
oh the subtle differences.

shrooms are goofy, acid is crazy.
shrooms feel mysterious, while acid feels precise.

That's not to speak of the countless other psychedelics with individual characteristics to the same degree.
 
well discuss! those are the only psycs ive done so far, i have a lot of experience in them, but them alone so far...not sure what else i wanna try.

Take lots of LSD and it will be just as mysterious as a typical dose of mushrooms, maybe even more. But yes, precise is a good way to describe kinda how LSD visuals are at least.

The feeling is more "centered" too, while mushrooms is all over the place.

Still too general, we gotta discuss dosage.

Low dose mushrooms is goofy, but higher doses are no laughing or goofy matter ;)
 
even though i KNOW an LSD trip is different from a 2ce trip, is different from a shroom trip, it's SO HARD to describe exactly how. it's been a long time since i've had mushrooms though.

I can understand where your coming from.

In my experience with both substance's both in high and low dose's, LSD tends to have an exponential effect on my rational thoughts, whereas mushrooms seem to focus more on my emotional response's to psychedelia. I find with mushrooms it's much more difficult to 'pin-point' idea's or concepts then it is on LSD, however they give you a much deeper emotional connection to yourself and nature.

For me it often seems as though LSD strips me down to raw intellectual properties, and mushrooms strip me down to basic emotional animalistic instincts. This is just my subjective experience with the two over the years however ;)
 
i usually get quite emotional or a connected feeling on LSD. like i said though, i can barely recall what shrooms are like

i agree with feeling centered on lsd, an all over the place on shrooms. also, i do feel like shrooms are more emotional, and primal.

and also, when i take a LOT of lsd, its not mysterious it is just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO REAL, like just super real, haha.

See my posts in this thread, that's the best differentiation I can give between the two in terms of visuals. The other differentiation is that LSD seems to give a more lucid experience with less confusion and more of a spiritual feel, at least for me. I would suggest 3+ hits for a starting dose given your prior experience with shrooms. I had what sounds like a similar level of experience with shrooms, several experiences with quarter ounces and innumerable experiences with eighths as well as half-eighths. I dropped 3 hits for my first LSD experience (it was really strong blotter though, according to my friend who dropped with me) and it was one of the most spiritually profound experiences of my life (until the cops showed up, not because I was doing anything stupid, my friend and I were just unlucky that night), but even after being arrested things stayed positive and I think the experience of being strip searched and treated like a piece of meat by my arresting and processing officers ultimately added to the significance of the experience in a strange way. Anyway, good luck and have fun with your experience whatever dose you choose.
 
One thing a lot of people haven't really talked about is one thing: There are no hard fast rules about the nature of a drug from one person to another. I've read posts in here that are almost exactly the same, but inverse (LSD is spiritual, mushrooms are fun and visa versa) with almost everything about them. LSD is a little more speedy, there some things that are definitely different consistently, but I can say for absolutely CERTAIN that neither one is 'better', because the effects of either drug are not consistent from person to person enough for either one to -be- better.
 
For me, I somehow always feel drugged on LSD and my appetite is obliterated for 15 hours. Also, losing my ego for such a long time is somewhat tiring.

When it comes to visuals, LSD visuals aren't that interesting, because acid somehow numbs my emotions. On the other hand, when on shrooms, the visuals can be insanely freaky (which is awesome) or magnificent and positive.

Unfortunately, I've never felt energetic on acid :(
Maybe I should eat a large meal before dosing, so that I would have enough nutrients in my body while tripping, because LSD eliminates my hunger for the rest of the day.
 
I personally like LSD, whenever I take shrooms I get really bad paranoia and will always result in me not having a good time, also whenever I take psychs I always take them with mdma. When I mix mdma and shrooms it feels like the drugs are fighting eachother, its not very confortable. LSD on the other hand,I love taking it on its own. Another reason I like it is because it gos so well with mdma. Like it feels like a whole new drug when I mix the two.
 
While living in an area of plentiful cubensis shrooms free for the picking I harvested and tripped 300 times. Acid trips around 100 to 125 times..I prefer LSD and it never turned negative on me..Visuals were much prefered to shrooms however the acid available in the past 20 years seems dirty and too many side effects to get such a watered down trip..Shrooms made my body feel like a sponge sometimes kind of slurred speech..very in touch with nature and the biorythm of our planet..I never had any shortage of visuals on acid but each person reacts in his or her own fashion..if you are new to tripping i recommend shrooms for first time. Then LSD is going to be more than you expect..prepare to be surprised..Peace..
