I realize it is okay now, it is just that I made so many posts, said so many sketchy things.

I tried to delete most of my more radical statements, but I am sure I missed a few.
 
^What you fail to realize is that no one cares what you have to say. You're a semi-anonymous name on an internet message board a small fraction of "every day" people have even heard of.

AFAIK, allowing caching of forum pages is/was intentional. I didn't know about the gallery stuff, though.
 
I know, it is just that I have witnessed someone who got investigated on cannabisculture.com because they said they wanted to kill some politician, and they just said it as a joke.

I am just glad this person only quoted a light hearted comment from the boards.

Even so the fact that it involves killing, even in a joking way, is kind of bad, but whatever.
 
I'm sure throngs of law enforcement agents from ten different countries are fanning out across message boards all over the internets to search for the infamous "lurkerguy".

Well they wouldn't have to fan out, one person could do it very easily in short amount of time.

I am also damn glad that it was from a site like bluelight, that "educates people on drug use", rather than http://www.planetganja.com "a site devoted to teaching people how to grow marijuana" etc.
 
Would this temper you in what statements you make publicly? After all, just because you delete something, doesn't mean someone else hasn't already saved it :\ Point being, when you speak in public, people will hear you even when you think you're being ignored. Perhaps this is more important on a message board (blog..hehe, nutter), as saves are a lot easier than when you are speaking out loud in person. Hopefully this will remind you, and anyone else, to think before making statements that can be used against you. There is a lesson here, and if you don't have a 'less on' you have ..... ?
 
I am moving in about 30 days, I am going to be near a public wireless access point.

From now on I am only going to use public wireless access points, like in coffee shops.

The only thing that really got me worried is that a handful of people know me as "lurkerguy" in real life, from other message boards, that was my only concern.

I am not worried about anything other than that.

Plenty of people post much worse under their own real names.

I guess my lesson is use different handles on different forums, and stay out of the political forums.
 
Why don't you just go back to lurking, for all our sakes.

when i get bored, and google my screennames and real one, i hope i find one of my comments are published somewhere, i would be like, fuck yeah! then, i might email and ask if they want my autograph, and tell em i will sign my panties after going horseback riding.

srsly, though, love bandit is right, don't say shit you would not fear saying to the face of anyone, and you will be fine.

everything i state online is the same sentiment i will and DO have in "real life"

i am not hiding from anyone with some pseudo secret online identity. are you??? if so, you shouldn't be bringing attention to it with a thread like this

Anything you say in public can be quoted. This is a public message board. Unfortunately, news media tend to look for a sensationalist angle, and will quote the most extreme statements. Hopefully people read your quote as being heavily sarcastic.

This is far from the first time BL has been quoted by news media, and it won't be the last.

If you're worried about people connecting your BL identity to your other identities, you shouldn't use the same user name. Basic googling of your name turns up posts by you on a variety of forums.
 
I found it because another member PMed me with the link.

At first I thought it was a joke.

He PMed me a message entitled "Lurkerguy in the media".

Yeah I was being sarcastic, I didn't go out and shoot anyone, and my mother was an alcoholic, but she is in a mental institution now, so she isn't buying any liquor.

I am hiding from many people, well one group of people in particular, but they are highly organized and well funded.

I know 3 people on this site in real life, and about 10 from other sites.

Other than those people, I guess you could say I like my identity secret, at least when it comes to illegal drugs.

Either way thanks for all the answers everyone, and the advice, except for Finder who needs to smoke a joint or something so he isn't such an asshole.

All I can say in response to all of Finder's negative comments is:

Dude, just stop posting schetchy shit on the board. Try to be nice, don't incriminate yourself, don't plan criminal activities (even in jest).

Or just lurk.

Anything and EVERYTHING you say here is archived, whether you know it, like it, have access to it, or not. You've gotta think about that in the future.
