Rexulti is like a newer abilify, they’re similar but rexulti is supposed to have less side effects, and I haven’t noticed any positive or negative, honestly hope it is working against the psychosis because it feels like a sugar pill :/

I’m not thrilled to be on rexulti, but my therapist said it would be basically medical malpractice to take me off of it right now so I can wait a few more months. Im on a lower dose than what would be used to treat schizophrenia, and it hasn’t helped or hurt my anhedonia, as long as it doesn’t make me suicidal

Stay safe buddy, the longer you stay on it the more likely your changes you’re experiencing become permanent. Granted I’m unaware of the true nature of your circumstance and ultimately you are the judge of your own life. Any dosage of antipsychotic will permanently change the infrastructure of the brain given a long enough duration. There’s a plethora of risk associated with taking antipsychotics

Not all antpsychotics suck. Im o zyprexa and i dont get any side effects at all really. I can even trip if i take a day or 2 off my pills. Every drug seems to work still

Just because you don’t feel the side effects doesn’t mean it isn’t having an actual effect upon you. The same way people with TBI’s don’t always understand how they’ve changed from the injuries.

The psych meds didnt change me but the psych wrd did. Now i look at everyday that im not locked up as a good day. Also i am in far better shape at 43 then i was at 20 so im not really complaining about any side effects.

The inega and abilify likely had permanent effects on me though as i blame them for my low test levels. They where really low. Granted that problem was easily fixed with synthetic testosterone. The stuff works like a dream

does anyone know if adhd medication interacts with strattera?

Why would you take both? Amphetamines and ritalin work far better so no need to take both. They could interact as straterra is just a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. So it could maybe amplify the stim effects

sorry I meant if invega weakens strattera, stimulants make me too anxious and jittery

Anhedonia is strong, but I have been experiencing more energy lately. Walking 15000 steps a day and back in the gym. I've been practicing a variation of intermittent and fasting also which has been helping I think. Change is here but very subtle. It's still too early to know definitively if I'm improving or this is just placebo due to my lifestyle changes. I've been regularly taking my supplements and exercising. I guess in two weeks or so if I'm still the same I can comfortably say I'm healing although at a small rate.

With these improvements, I still suffer daily from drawbacks- in particular anhedonia and I have terrible focus and can't read a book or anything. Watching short videos on youtube to pass the time.

The doctor here spoke about some agonist of dopamine and serotonine and she told me he have to figure out what to do to push my brain to his former setup
