Sometimes I wonder if the blunting will last forever. I do feel calm when I shouldn't, it's very strange. I clearly still have emotions, but not the full range of them. It's mostly there. I imagine this is the kind of emotional blunting some people find relief in rather than alarm or discomfort.While it is true that someone gets used to some of the side effects (it happens over long periods of time, years).
It's also not true that you'll need them because if you get used to it, you automatically don't need them (or you are not used to it).
What I recovered the least are emotions, but I also gotten used to it pretty much. Not to scare some of you, it's simply a different state of being, where there was emotion it becomes calmness.
But I also just made myself sad and teary thinking about Steve Irwin even though he died close to 20 years ago. Do you have moments like that?
