While it is true that someone gets used to some of the side effects (it happens over long periods of time, years).
It's also not true that you'll need them because if you get used to it, you automatically don't need them (or you are not used to it).

What I recovered the least are emotions, but I also gotten used to it pretty much. Not to scare some of you, it's simply a different state of being, where there was emotion it becomes calmness.
Sometimes I wonder if the blunting will last forever. I do feel calm when I shouldn't, it's very strange. I clearly still have emotions, but not the full range of them. It's mostly there. I imagine this is the kind of emotional blunting some people find relief in rather than alarm or discomfort.

But I also just made myself sad and teary thinking about Steve Irwin even though he died close to 20 years ago. Do you have moments like that?

No offense their is no way you are recovered because antipsychotics cause emotional blunting. Which means you're emotionless.
You have no libido/no pleasure.
Your dopamine receptors are blocked due to you still taking antipsychotics.

In my opinion I think you got used to not feeling emotions.

I can't do that brother, I need my emotions.

Why do you keep taking olanzapine?
How does olanzapine help in anyway?
Are you schizophrenic?

My libido is more then fine. I take olanzapine becaus i dont want cotards syndrome

@paranoid android

You are really stubborn.

Obviously antipsychotics cause
Emotion blunting.

Yet you are going to lie and say you feel
Libido and emotions.
It's not permanent in most cases. It wasn't even permanent in my case, I have feelings even though they're missing some intensity. Olanzapine is far more mild than invega and it leaves your system very quickly. It blocks fewer receptors. Not all antipsychotics are the same. Some people don't get bad side effects from medication either. I'm glad he has one that works for him.

He thinks every medication = invega.

Fuck I've been on meds for years with zero problems until I met the devil invega. Holy fucking shit it's actual poison.

Seroquel and olanzapine are not invega. They are not even close to invega.

Olanzapine (Zyprexa) Review:

"Zyprexa made me dull and gain weight, then found it's impossible to stop taking. Even with a very, very slow taper, I have terrible withdrawal symptoms that I never ever experienced before olanzapine. I only took 1.25mg, and after 3 years of tapering I'm down to about 0.7mg. Now I have heart arrhythmia, akathisia, insomnia, I feel dazed and out of it, erectile issues, and don't feel pleasure or get excited about anything. Olanzapine has ruined my life. If I could do one thing differently in my life it would be to never ever start taking this horrific drug."

You been trying to put me down by calling me bad names for weeks now. It doesn't affect me in any way though.
Why do you insist on being so rude to people though over there choice to take medication? Calling everyone liars. Like what are you hoping to achieve? Your a pest.

Olanzapine (Zyprexa) Review:

"This drug is awful. I should've stopped from day 1. Now I'm in the 4th year and just started tapering because I'm one of the good boys that always listen to his parents and doctors. Please don't be a fool. Don't take this drug, it will make you lose years of your precious life. Better be drug-free as you know the only winner of your supposed condition is the big pharma that only wants your money every month."

Fo Insomnia "I’ve used Olanzapine 2.5 mg (dosage one) for years. It works great for me, it gives me a good 8-10 hours of sleep a night without waking up throughout the night, and I always wake up feeling like I’ve had a great night's sleep. Don’t be put off by the scare tactics of other reviewers, 2.5mg or 5mg dosages do affect the same neurotransmitters but only mildly. You’re not going to develop psychosis when you start taking this medication or when you stop taking it. I’ve stopped and started Olanzapine many times, and I’ve had no issues whatsoever, no mood changes (it actually helped improve some anxiety issues). Just be cautious of weight gain, but at a low dose, you’ll barely gain any weight, and if you eat healthy and workout, you’ll be more than fine."

10 / 10

Olanzapine (Zyprexa) Review:

"Stay away! I took 15 mg Zyprexa for 2 weeks, and I feel so tired. My vision is blurry, weak hand-eye coordination, and it's difficult to speak or understand anything. Why is this drug still being prescribed?"

Olanzapine (Zyprexa) Review:

"I have been a teacher for 28 years. I was diagnosed with depression. I was prescribed olanzapine. Once on olanzapine, my life was totally changed. I could not act like a good teacher. I could not work properly. I was sleeping 18 hours a day. I put on weight. I was hungry all the time. My depression did not go away, it became worse. I couldn't speak, couldn't think properly. Please don't take this medicine."

Olanapine (Zyprexa) Review:

"Zyprexa withdrawal is the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my 55-year-old life. I took 2.5 mg for 6 years. Sure, it helped me sleep for a few months, and that is why I did not know what was causing the terrible grief and overall health problems I was experiencing. I was fainting without warning because of this drug. It ruined my life, and I have not touched Zyprexa in almost 2 years! It is a drug so terrible it should not be prescribed to anybody. The makers of this drug should be totally ashamed of themselves. They really should be punished for what they have done and continue doing to people's lives with this drug. No joke."
