Please hang in there. Please just give yourself time to heal ❤

This is excellent to hear! Keep doing what you're doing 🙂

Almost everyone I've read experiences from on here gets the sexual dysfunction side effect. You are definitely not alone. And from what I have read, it does recover, it just takes time.

From everything I have read, 9 weeks is still early days in terms of recovery from 2 shots of Invega. Everyone seems to recover in different time frames so just take it each day at a time and you will eventually start to notice the side effects going away even more.

Almost every single person in these threads has recovered. I know right now it feels like it's going to be permanent, but it won't be. Give it time, eat healthy, drink plenty of water, try to exercise a little bit every day, socialise if you feel comfortable and safe doing so, and you will start to recover. How long have you been off Invega now?
thanks for saying almost everyone will recover ❤

Nothing feels good to me. Even sleeping is not as pleasurable as before. I'm still sexually disfunctional. I wonder if i will ever go back to normal. :(

Is it possible to heal? Cause the way it feels this thing seems permanent. I haven't felt any improvements ever since i got off the drugs.
Before a few months I still hated trying to fall asleep, now it's more bearable. First 8 months, it was pure torture trying to fall asleep, quite hard to described it.

So, I found this breathing exercise that is supposed to help dopamine release and I was like "lol okay, I don't think it will work but I'll try it" and it... worked? It felt nice at least, I even had a temporary boost in clitoral sensation. It's best to do it on an empty stomach and I'm about to eat lunch, but I'll do it around 3 PM or before bed again.

For me i had no problem feeling weed on invega or clonazepam that time my mom gave me some of hers in the psych ward.

Anhedonia was the first thing to start to go away for me when i finally got off the abilify injections that where just as bad as invega for me. My sex drive was about the first thing to come back which took about 3 or 4 months i think. Then i slowly started feeling better and getting more energy. However my full recovery was delayed quite abit because i was on latuda and got horrible akathesia and znxiety from it so i eventually switched to zyprexa and am doing great. I now feel normal shit like abit tired during the day and i have not only kept the weight off but have packed on 20lbs of muscle from lifting weights.

Weren’t you just on invega tho and not the shot invega sustenna ?

Please hang in there. Please just give yourself time to heal ❤

Thanks for saying this because sometimes on this thread people can become negative and it can get really dark. As a moderator you saying almost everyone recovers means a lot to this community.

I really can't stress the importance of finding things to look forward to enough. A big reason why I'm alive is that there is new Star Trek coming and there's always a new Mountain Goats album every year and I want to hear it. When I was younger and struggling with suicidality, Homestuck, cursed as it is now, helped keep me alive because I wanted to read those updates and know what happens to my blorbos.

Even if it's something dumb like fandom or a nice part of your routine or getting a treat with your friends. There's always something, hold onto it.

Just wondering if you went cold turkey off the abilify injections or tapered?

How do you know almost everyone has recovered?

It seems like the norm that people recover from this shit. A lot of the people who don't recover got it while they were teenagers, were on it for years, or had addictions. Some people develop what sounds like long term hormonal issues too, but that can be fixed. I kept seeing someone pop up in threads about it on Reddit and eventually I saw a post from him that said he recovered after two years.

I'm going to try to make music in No Man's Sky tonight after watching some Voyager.

After starting my taper from guanfacine, I'm feeling more empathy and love again. The lion's mane is also almost out of my system. I'm so glad the emotional setback isn't permanent, and my ADHD medication had something to do with it. I will go back on it when the blunting from everything else wears off, or I'll give Vyvanse a shot since it seems to be the most safe stimulant for ulcerative colitis.

Having a chronic illness sucks when you have other things that need medication, and you can't even take some options. If I could go on stimulants, I wouldn't even be on this thread since an SNRI caused my manic episode.

Is there anyone here who has had some recovery from feeling absolutely nothing at all? Because that is where I’m at. I feel literally nothing

Hey man thanks for coming back … I feel like you might be one of the only people to have had what I am currently going through, I have severe anhedonia , no emotions , no social skills , don’t talk or make conversation any more , just say one word and very short responses to my mum or brother when they talk to me otherwise I say nothing at all , I feel completely dead inside , it’s a hard thing to describe , I can’t feel weed or alcohol or coffee also I have insomnia … does this sound similar to how you felt ? I took 14 injections of an older strong ap called clopixol over a 7 month period and my last injection was just over 8 months ago , I haven’t improved at all in this time , I feel the same as when I was on the injections , I feel like this is permanent , I have made a plan to end my life if nothing has changed after 2 years off the shot , I constantly think about suicide now and have my method planned … do you think I still have a chance bro ? Thanks again for coming back here I’m glad you recovered man.
8 months no changes😔 I’m sorry I plan on doing what you said if I don’t get myself back within a year. I’m 19.
