Coming off Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections v 12

I would share my 25.5 months update (2 years and 1 month and 2 week) After my last injection of risperdal consta 50mg (I only took two of them, back in July 2024).

Not recovered yet, not improved at all, things got worse, i now wake up into a shock state, like terror state with fear and 140bpm heart rate, and my heart rate very rarely drop below 100bpm even if i’am laying down.

Nothing much more happened since my last time here (if I remember right my last update here was like 6 months ago or something like that).

Teorichally i had to recover faster compared to someone who got invega due to the big difference in the half-life, but at this point i guess it’s more appropriate to talk about NIDS (Neuroleptic Induced Deficit Syndrome) or Post Neuroleptic Syndrome, as the drug itself it’s completely out of my body after such time but I have reported some sort of persistent downregulation or other kind of brain injury.

Yeah i remember you, I'm on the way to you, 13month and i still feel my brain is completely blocked, i hope i heal by 16-18 months but I'm getting desperate

Well, you know how receptors work? Basically we have synapnses that they don’t touch each others, they are very close but they don’t touch each others, and between these synapses we have receptors.

The receptors are the bridge between synapses, as you block the receptors, you block the information from reaching his spot on the brain trough these synapses.

Just yesterday a doctor made a drawing during our appointment to explain to me what receptors are and how they work, then how these medication affects the receptors and the synapses.

Basically it’s like blowing a bridge, once the bridge is gone, you can’t anymore cross that pathway (you intended as the information), it can be an emotional information, a visive information, cognitive information, sexual information, and goes on…

I don’t know why we are not recovering but the fact is that we are not recovering, actually we don’t have any drugs that speed up the formation of new, healthy receptors as far as i know..

I was already at your place, at 13 months, hoping for a recovery aroun 15-16 months, it din’t happened.. Once there, I hoped for a recovery around the 18-20 months, it din’t happened.. I begged for the 24 months then.. It din’t happened..

It’s like the old lobotomy, once is done, there is no way back, but it’s chemical, they don’t have anymore to do The Classic old physical lobotomy, now they can just chemically block receptors, the result is the same..

I think you can still recover, it will take a long time.

People recover from Trinza, and they recover from antipsychotic overdoses.

Don't listen to AI, it tells you things that make you want to continue interacting with it. It's also evil, it is deskilling people and making them stupid.
 
Just a heads up

I finally got my community treatment order uplifted

Meaning all treatment is now voluntary

What it means in the long run is I will be able to taper off the abilify injections at my own pace

The commision board listened to my wishes

I emphasized on recovery in the long run with remission instead of indefinite reinjections as a patient

My advice is to get a good lawyer that is skilled at paraphrasing all the legal terms for you

Without a good lawyer it is nearly impossible

I have switched lawyer twice FYI!

That’s amazing brother, I got off mine about 2 months ago and I just feel so much less restricted and less suicidal than I was on it, you can start healing from the injections now, super happy for you man!!! Enjoy the freedom! By the way how long were you on it for?

Loading dose 720 mg oct 2025
second injection 400 mg nov 2025
third injection 400 mg dec 2025
fourth injection 400 mg jan 2026
fifth injection 400 mg feb 2026
sixth injection 400 mg march 2026
seventh injection 300 mg april 2026
eighth injection 300 mg may 2026
ninth injection 300 mg june 2026
tenth injection 300 mg july 2026
last injection 300 mg august 2026

will take time to taper off all the shots to be honest

two years from now on i fully consider myself recovered

also i am tapering off abilify with vraylar lowest dose daily
