I can assure you I probably spend more time reading drug/medical literature than a doctor claiming a 1st generation AP metabolite is somehow "modern". Yes it's probably well researched, i.e. they know what it does to you long-term. They already know it's bad enough to create A WHOLE NEW GENERATION of medications! When I was prescribed invega the psychiatrist told me nothing but how 'modern and researched' drug it is. She didn't tell me anything about it's side effects, nothing. First months on this poison, literally all I wanted to do was inject her with this shit and tell her how modern this crap is. Smh
Trust me the psychiatrist was just saying that to sound smart. There's better doctors out there.
Even when I urge others to get on ORT (opiate replacement therapy) or take something like chantix to quit smoking I'm very explicit about the potential side effects and they can be bad (more so for chantix i.e. nightmares and potential suicidal thoughts etc): always stay informed, never trust a doctor on their word alone though some are very wise some are not, do your independent research. Assume a degree of lying is going on about the side effects. "Common" means "everyone will experience this". "Uncommon" means you probably have a 10-20% chance, not 1%. Side effects are down played by big pharmaceutical companies so they can keep making big $$$. I get this. It's sad but true.
Stay strong guys. If anything, use your time to read and educate yourself. Read fiction. Eventually you'll fall in love with reading/the world again. There'll be a spark of passion one day. I know it can be hard to reignite that once it feels like its been lost. Stay strong everyone.
