The sex drive returned at month 5, I was totally impotent for 5 months, but it's back to normal now. I got more satisfaction when I was finally able to watch a movie and enjoy pizza again at about month 6.
I'm just walking an hour a day, but really sweating this shit out of me by wearing a couple of jumpers and playing golf once a week. I started off by just doing an hour a day cleaning my house and worke d up gradually, you defiantly start feeling better and stronger as you get fitter.
Still recovering I think, but I'm close

I haven't tried Dostinex, but I have tried Requip which is another dopamine agonist in the same class of anti-Parkinson's medications. I tried to get Dostinex from my pdoc awhile back actually. I had this idea that maybe a dopamine agonist would offset the effects of a dopamine antagonist. To me, it makes sense in theory. But when I tried Requip it didn't really help at all. The Invega just seems to overpower everything. I was taking Requip though....so maybe Dostinex is stronger and might work.

@Joey and everyone else struggling to exercise

I was thinking....if you guys/gals don't feel like you can go for runs and stuff like that...then maybe look into getting a recumbent bike for exercise? I bought one about a year and a half ago on Craigslist for $40. It's essentially just an stationary exercise bike but with back support. So you can sit on it and ride slowly while you watch tv, listen to music, etc.. If I didn't have a recumbent bike to exercise with while recovering from Invega I probably would've gained soooo much more weight. With the bike, I would just do some very slow biking at the lowest resistance while I browsed online forums or watched tv, and before you know it, I had been biking an hour and burned a few 100 calories without even breaking a sweat. Just something to consider.
 
6 months in and I'm wearing out the sofa along with the my laptop and the to control, there's no groundbreaking Invega stories, from all I've read a minority of people get adverse side effects which makes them zombies. I say minorities because i think the injection could assist full blown schizophrenics by making them manageable to authorities however this injection fucked up my life, it's been 6
Months and I just feel myself becoming dumber and gaining weight. Words can't describe it, I'm assuming it just kills all the dopamine receptors so even the agonists have difficult times making us feel good and pumped full of testosterone. To sum it up, im a shadow of half the man I once was.

Hey Invegaman Janssens told me it takes 343 days for it to come out of the system. Your 180 days in... I swear to god I don't know why such a injection could stay in the system for soo long. Do you feel any recovery in your libido and sex drive?

@Bad Robot, are you able to run? When you say your sex drive returned does that mean you can get a natural erection? It's my 5 month off and I still can't get a natural erection or libido. I got a total of two shots.
 
I'm being brutally honest, no recovery. My erections are semi-firm at best with little ejactulation and a huge fall in desire.

Same here. I feel no recovery either. The only emotion I'm able to feel is anger. That's the only emotion I'm able to feel. I have never hated in my life but wished death on anything. The only thing I wish death on is Janssens and Johnson and Johnson, I hate those pharmecticuals with a passion.
 
I swear im willing to take a 5 minute beating from a 600 pound silverback gorilla if it means turning back time to a time before this poison was forced on me.
How is it that psychitrits consider themselves "pysicians" when they are breaking their oath; first do no harm. They are physicly and emotionally disabling innocent poeple thus rendering their life a living hell. I would rather be physicly tortured by some gang than to be injected by a poison that consumes you inside out.
 
@Lazar your not alone in the struggle.... I hope that we both FULLY recover where everything goes back to normal. It's my 5th month off and I still feel no improvement... Tim32 got a different anti psych injection and fully recovered from that other injection. I think we will fully recover, at least I hope we fully recover. How long have you been off the shot? Tina3000 said she read a success story of a woman recovering in 1.5 years and a man recovering in 3 years.... It might take years before we fully recover. How long have you been off the shot?
 
@Tim32 when you said you recovered from that other anti psych injection, was that other anti psych med injected in the muscle? Invega is injected in the muscle. Also, how long did it take you to recover from that other anti psych med?

If I wanted to I could run, calm down with the sex drive, it's the poison that's lowered your testosterone, just a waiting game for more to leave your system, your through the worst of it.
One of the first success stories on here in v1 said just try and chill for the first 7 months, you'll gradually start noticing windows as your brain starts trying to work normally again.
Week 50 off the poison.
 
In the buttocks. For 6 months and I recovered soon after stopping. But never felt so emotionally numb and depressed like on invega.
 
Joey Im till on it my psych told me ill be on invega sustenna for the next 2-3 months, thats what saddenes me the most, my recovery hasnt even started, your close to the 1 year mark hopefully youll be recovered by then.

Hey lazar, get off of it. Whatever it takes. You're just lengthening how miserable you're going to be. Don't go back to the doctor. Or if you're legally bound to take it, explain to the doctor how destructive the medication is yo your life. Don't bullshit and say everything is fine. He/she should take you off of it. It's hard to be assertive when this drug is telling you to be submissive, I know.

I'm noticing some minor improvements coming on month 10. Like my legs don't tremble when I walk down stairs anymore. The constipation is slowly lifting. I'm not sleeping for 12 or more hours now. Let's see, what else.. My head is a little less foggy. Oh, and I can lift weights and do incline sit ups every day now. Hopefully it doesn't take this long to see any more improvements..
 
Hi notapsycho

I explained countless times to my doc that the invega has ruined my life and that i was MUCH happier before it, but he just looks at me in in disbeleif and says that the fact that im complaining about the invega means that im still mentaly ill... Unfortunately in my case the psychitrist has more power so i have no choice but to take, ill just have to wait for the next
2-3 months and then start recovering.

So if u take this poison your doomed for life to not be able to burn the fat you gained?? Im doing sprints on an empty stomach everyday, for fucks sake not only am i not losing fat im actually GAINING fat even with minimal caloric intake throughout the day. And that psychitrist has the nerve to lie and say that the weight gain is caused by "increased appetite" life sucks, all im doing nowadays is praying for 2 hours a day, if i cant have a happy life anymore, i might as well spend the afterlife in heaven.
