In almost all cases of psychosis talk therapy doesn’t do shit but yes in some cases I agree talk therapy not doing shit is better off then anti psychotics making your problem 10x worse, for some though AP pills like seroquel or abilify can take them out of psychosis effectively with minimal side effects usually APS are always gonna cause some sort of issue whether it’s mild or severe but schizophrenia is a very unfortunate illness/situation, it all boils down too would you rather deal with your symptoms on your own or risk taking APS when you have no idea if it will do more harm or good. Some people are very happy they gave anti psychotics a shot and live better quality lives cause of them rather then if they just dealt with the symptoms of their illness, others may have their lives ruined by APS all in all it’s a big gamble with your own psyche.

This is high in comparison with drugs which is 10 to 20 %

Mental health nowadays is giving someone a fuckoff dose and tell them to fuckoff

where did you read that talk therapy has an 80% success rate? You can acquire APS without going through the system, for me it’s as simple as going to my psychiatrist and asking for them as luckily for me I have a reasonable psychiatrist. Tbh for me personally I would rather take seroquel if it gave me minimal side effects then have to deal with the symptoms of my drug induced psychosis I went through 24/7, my symptoms were the same as full blown paranoid schizophrenia I easily could have hurt myself or others badly and the anxiety and panic was horrible I thought I was dying and that I was gonna go to hell it was horrible despite ALL that though the PTSD I have from being shot with invega is worse then the PTSD from my psychosis so I think LONG acting injectables should never be used in those fuck off high doses.

I still don’t understand why the abilify injection didn’t knock me out of psychosis but the Invega Sustenna injection did. Super annoying. I could’ve avoided so much pain and suffering. I was still doing a lot of drugs while on the abilify injection though but still I think I was on the Invega injection too and it still knocked me out of psychosis.

Who knows, anti psychotics don’t work for everyone some people only get side effects but still have psychosis like for example @Locke23 and @Whathappened123 from v6 were on potent APS but still had psychosis.
 
I’m definitely going to complain to my psych about my previous doctor even though I’m not on meds anymore. The things that Invega Sustenna did to me should go down in the history books. I literally hate my doctor for putting me on it. I’ve read so many cases of ppl on Reddit saying Invega Sustenna ruined there facial features like me and made them gain weird neck fat and facial fat and ruin there eyes and there body and all this shit. My doctor didn’t warm me about any of that. I took the two loading doses in August 2020 by the end of Aug begin of Sept my eyes were so shut I couldn’t even put in contacts. Invega Sustenna ruined my eyes and did something weird to my face totally. I’m actually going to call Jansens tomorrow and tell them about the awful side effects the drug caused.

I’ve tried calling the drug company before and it did nothing but make me more angry.

This was three years ago so I don’t really remember exactly how it went but I told them the side effects I was experiencing after stopping Abilify and I just remember them not being helpful at all, not showing any concern or anything like that, just like saying a generic thing in reply and nothing else no matter how much concern you show.

Yeah that’s absolute bullshit! I’m sorry that happened to you. I remember crying to my doctor every month how bad I wanted off Invega Sustenna. How messed up I felt and how I couldn’t do anything on it and how I kept gaining weight and all this stuff. Luckily my GP dropped the dose and then another psych spaced the 50mg injection out to 36days apart and my weight started going down and I was able to exercise but still my face and eyes never improved!

I just don’t think a drug like Invega Sustenna should have ever been invented. It’s pure poison and hasn’t even been on the market long enough for the company to know all the side effects nor does it seem like they care. Ppl gain over 60 pounds on it and it makes them look and act like complete shit.

82% were psychosis free in 5 year followups

I called jansen before...the manual clearly states procedures for doctors...injections are only allowed if patients tried pills for two weeks, if patients respond positive they can be switched to injections. The worker at janssen concluded that doctors violated the manual instructions. Also she aeknowledged it takes 6 months for 1 single injection to leave the system

Yeah I was on CTO I was on the abilify injection for about six months and then for some reason by doctor at the time said I had to be on Invega for another year and then she added on another five months so I was injections for a long period of time
 
But I felt almost zero side effects on the abilify injection, it didn’t effect me much at all. Not until I was on Invega Sustenna something with the molecular makeup of Invega Sustenna really messed me up! It deformed me!

I’m a little bit skeptical about the info from that site but the way they describe their talk therapy has me intrigued, their approach actually may be able to help some cases of psychosis but I don’t believe that 82% were psychosis free they probably just say they too make more people look into their program, it was probably more like 10-15%.

If that’s the case and it takes eight months for the two loading doses to get out of your system then 15 months is nothing in the recovery process for 17 shots

Ya you’re probably right about that since when you keep taking injections monthly it just builds up in your system since there’s not enough time for the first injections too leave your system, I can’t imagine 17 shots not leaving some sort of permanent impact but I do believe recovering significantly to the point of living a good quality life is possible, People have reported recovering from 12-20 shots within the span of 30-48 months, usually if you don’t see any significant improvements for 4 years you’re probably fucked for life.
