He did base it off some things he read in the Bible and other forms of religion, I’m a spiritual person but I’m not very religious if that makes sense I personally don’t believe that, I believe in my own thing based on certain experiences I had, I do however believe that while on earth in your physical bodies free will is very limited as the system is very controlling, I think while we were in our spirit forms though we all decided to sign a contract to come to earth with our own free will to see if we could find spiritual growth here, I believe that traumas/challenges like being poisoned with invega, being shot, having cancer, etc change our perspective of reality/life and we know how it feels to lose everything but when it all comes back we have much more gratitude towards it and love and joy is much more meaningful if suffering is a thing.I dunno, Martin Luther has some interesting ideas in "The Bondage of the Will" that if you pray & surrender everything that God & his spirit takes over you without any will of yours whatsoever. I'm not saying you're wrong, but he's got some pretty powerful arguments against free will which in all honesty doesn't always work that well
