Hey guys. Newb here, 1st post. 10 yrs on full opiates, 2 on suboxone. Not being preachy, many are already fully aware I can see from some of the threads, just putting in my 2 cents worth, but here goes. Longtime user, high tolerance. I'd been off any street stuff for a year using subs, first IV, then in the last two months sublingually...cutting the slivers smaller each time. Cold turkey day came, & so did the WITHDRAWALS FROM HELL!! I understand it will be different for everyone, but for me personally, I think it's waaay worse than a full on agonist! Then to make matters worse, when I just couldn't take it anymore, all I could find were Fent 50 & 100 mcg patches. THAT withdrawal was worse than anything I've ever experienced. Today is day 6 of 100% clean. I've lost 14 lbs this week, been admitted & released from the hospital yesterday. Starting to feel a little better. I guess if anyone takes the time to read this, my message would be : PLEASE don't F*#@K AROUND WITH THE FENT UNLESS YOU HAVE A VERY HIGH TOLERANCE, YOU ARE DYING AND OR IN CHRONIC PAIN, AND IT BECOMES A QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUE!!! Again, I apologize if I sound like a damned preacher, or am just reiterating what you guys already know... THE SH#T CAN KILL YOU QUICK! THANK GOD FOR NARCANE, AMERICA, THE 4TH OF JULY, ... PEACE

... I'm doing ok for now.... I'm doing pod tea+mj for my own at home maintenance until I can arrange to go to a medical detox for a week or two, I just have too much at home to contend with to be sick like that(work, kid, house, laundry, etc....) and tapering is something that eludes me everytime I try, so I'm think it's the best route for me.... Once I successfully withdraw, I'm so shell shocked that I tend to stay clean for a whiles, except during bad paws which can be a very testing time for me.... We shall see, all I can do is try to set myself for what I think is the right approach for me now.....
