Cold injection

Of all the IV users I know, not one of them has heated a shot, ever, and I've never heard of any of them having any problems from it. Here is Aus is H disolves easily without heat, as does the crystal, and they're really the only two things that people IV. If I was worried about bacteria I can get bacteria filters from the local exchange, but everything is swabbed/sterile before I use it, and if there was problems with bacteria/viruses in the gear then people would be dropping dead left, right, and centre.

^ They do on occasions, like the case I mentioned in NE England where people were dying from using heroin that was contaminated with C. perfringens. Also, where do you think things like abcesses & septicaemia come from?)

To me (and for anything I use - drug-wise) it just doesn't make sense to get rid of bacteria and ignore the possibility of viral contamination.

I realize you're not saying to ignore viruses and just cook out the bacteria - I just don't think decontamination is worthwhile unless you're getting everything. Although, what each person is able to do with what is available to them varies and everyone should decon to the best of their ability (if it's going in a vein etc.)

The number & range of pathogenic bacteria is enormous compared with the number of pathogenic viruses (a lot of which are substantially weakened, if not outright killed by heating, making it easier for the immune system to deal with them before they cause problems) that are likely to be found as a contaminant in street drugs, and some of those bacteria are the likes of the sort that cause necrotizing fasciolitis, so saying that you can't see the point in just removing the bacteria when most cases of infection induced problems from IV/IM are due to bacteria makes no sense. A few seconds heating removes the possibility of tetanus, endocarditis (do I need to go on?) - I'd class that as very worthwhile

I think you're reading me wrong or more likely I am not being clear - I meant more in terms of what I deal with working with viruses - I tend to apply the same thinking to what I shoot. I'm still not really explaining it right, time for sleep!

Did you not read anything fastandbulbous wrote? He proved you wrong before you even made this post.

ah you got me. no, i didnt read it. or i did, and it didnt stick, for whatever reason. whatvever. anyway. what exactly are accusing me of? these were my basic points:

a) heroin (and i've been doing it for a long time and i'm pretty sure i know what happens when you prep a shot...) tends to need a little heat to dissolve fully - - unless (on the rare occasion) you get some really good shit that just dissolves by itself. the stuff that refuses to dissolve without a little outside help is the crap added by the evil drug dealer guys. you disagree with that? what exactly do you have problems with? have you ever actually dumped some dope in a cooker and attempted to get it all ready for injection? - edit: this isn't high-school don't call people names please!

b) cocaine is different from heroin (of course, i'm generalizing here...everyone who has been using for a decent amount of time is familiar with getting a bag of something they thought was dope or coke or whatever but whatever it is it's refusing to behave like the substance it purports to be. anyway. when you (edited unnecessary crap

c) this is incredibly simple stuff. a headless chicken could grasp it if given the chance. lemme break it down for you (and again....., walk away- calm down, do whatever ya need to do, just knock this off!)....OK. heroin. needs some heat. usually. to dissolve. not always; most of the time, yes. now. cocaine. doesn't need heat. most of the time. in fact, i can't remember the last time i heated coke. it really isn't necessary.
