Codeine will be the same as the hydrocodone - a sense of well being.
It depends on what type of cannabis - Sativa doesn't produce a body high such as Indica. Yet a few strains like Sour Diesel can be a Sativa but still produces a body high. This body high can be compared to euphoria. The euphoria from cannabis can be compared to taking a lot of vitamins. It is a sweet feeling euphoria. Also the euphoria from hydrocodone compared to oxy is a much more sweeter feeling, also like comparing taking a lot of vitamins, if you drank too much juice or ate too much sugar. The Sativa produces a mind high, so the process of relief is different. That is why Sativa is for stress and Indica is for pain. The Sativa will change the process of thinking inside the mind, thus relieving the pain by changing the thought process. You are totally stressed out then you laugh about it because your view of the whole situation has changed. Sativa and opioids do not mix because your mind cannot decide what it giving you the relief - THC (affecting serotonin) or Dopamine (giving you well being).
To sum it all up, first take the opioid and then an hour or two later when starting to come down take the indica - it will bring the euphoria back from the opioid almost as if you took another dose. But if the cannabis is right before or during the opioid dose it will have a negative dual blocking effect.
