Codeine & CWE (aka cdub) Megathread: third time's the charm

promethazine seems to be for allergies, red puffy eyes, etc.

If you're using codeine, dont bother with promethazine, because it effects the metabolisation of codeine into morphine. It just makes you feel more fucked because you're drowzy, it doesnt actually make the codeine high stronger.
 
yeah if youre going to take promethazine wait until youre a few hours into the affair. it only cures the itches and adds sedation, not a true potentiator.

its otc, to whoever said its script only. perhaps you meant cimetidine?
 
CWE absorbed T-shirt dye

Wondering if anyone has used a dark shirt as a pre-filter and noticed the color change to black after your milky solution sits in the black shirt for a while?

I never used it (the shirt) in a CWE before. Just an old shirt I won't use anymore...

I will drink the black solution anyway and update you guys. In 2-3 years of CWE'ing I have never seen it before.

Ha! Never used a coloured shirt for CWE before (I usually use coffee filters, or a piece of old (but clean) sheet).

I don't the dye would make you sick... but you wouldn't want to do that too often. Please do update us. You may get a black tongue after drinking it;)

I wonder what you'd get if you used an old tie-dye shirt - rainbow extraction!! (Disclaimer: not recommended)

Seriously though, I'm sure you'll be fine, but keep us updated.
 
ive used dark shirts, but i usually just squeeze out my codeine milk after a couple minutes, i dont let it sit for that long

i have this weird problem with the harris filters blocking up or something. firstly i filter through a tea towel in to a wet filter. the drops come steady for around 25% or the solution, then it completely stops. i have to move it around a bit to see drops falling again, but this will only last a few seconds before it stops. anyone know why this is happening? i've done extractions just like this before without any problems.
 
^ To me that sounds pretty normal, I've always had to move the filters around or lightly squeeze them to keep it dripping. I assume ibu/paracetamol particles are clogging the filter. Strange that it's only just started happening though. Probably obvious questions, but have you used a different pill or used less water or something? I have noticed a brand or two whose pills seem to have changed constituents or consistency - eg. tablets that once dissolved in seconds take longer, and look different when they do it. Could be a change like that.

I've had dye come through once or twice - only a slight tinge though. I'd imagine it'd be more common with newer shirts, as if it's been through the wash a few times it shouldn't be losing much colour anymore.
 
^ I have been using all kinds of paracetamol since i firts started CWE, and cant really put it down to one. I've always just asked for the generic brand, and each pharmacy usually has a different one. ive probably used at least 10 different types.
 
^I've slowed down using cwe's. But have noticed a remarked difference from the old days.

If I ever waited over night while filtering, it was guaranteed to be a dry mass left in my filter. But recently I cwe'd, waited over night, and to my surprise (and anger) there was still liquid sitting on top of the paracetamol mass in the filter.

These tablets used to filter in an hour, tops. Same brand, but obviously different pill makeup.

Similar synarios have happen. Not the same, but prolonged filtering was the issue. And with different brands known and loved before (not loved anymore).

It's made me sway away from CWEing of late. Just got frustrated too many times, and if I've had a hard day at work and decide to fix my head issues, I want a fast solution. Waiting for the shit to filter (especially if taking longer than usual) just induces anxiety, becoming counter-productive I geuss.

I could organise myself properly, do it a day in advance. But then that's more fucking stress and organising and blah...
 
Filters are for muppets, a fabric with close threads work fine, even a $3.00 shirt from Kmart is fine.

the article says "call for action". well, imo they should just go back to making n+ with half half splits. mixing them too well is only resulting in people (who either don't know of or don't know how to cwe) killing themselves with ibuprofen.

i just got back from nepal. had a back issue and needed pain meds. otc codeine pack of 100x15mgs = $7! felt like filling a bag of the stuff. ;)
 
^ that story is bullshit, it doesn't explain that the toxicity is caused by paracetamol and ibuprofen.

And 115 deaths related in a decade?!? Come on now, is that really news worthy?

But good idea on pulling n+ out of retirement L2R, Maybe then I'd go back to using the shit daily.

I disagree. And my opinion is that fabric is for muppets (especially gonzo).

If your only using fabric, and no proper filter at the end, for prolonged periods, then your just asking for organ damage issues.

There is an unknown amount of para/ibu in your final product, why not try your hardest to eliminate any possibilities of any para/ibu getting through?

Im pretty sure the splittable Nurofen theory was bullshit.
 
It's no theory. I remember it like it was yesterday. The change happened in the first half of the 2000's.
 
splittable N+ were true and was circa 2000. I even tested them with the old original EZ-test. One side showed nothing and the other side went red "opiate". I even remembered posting about it on here back in 2002 (i've been a 'BL member since 2000 but have forgotten by password and the admins won't give me a chance to retrieve it...username: scratch)
 
Damnit! I was way to young for the N+ days. That woulda been awesome.

And no, I dont Rekon I'm a muppet for spending 1.50 on a big box of filters which is giving me a reliably pure product everytime. In fact I think it's pretty darn cool.

Earlier today I made a small dose of PST (100g) which I drank around three pm. Got barely any effect so did a 360mg cwe and drank it at about 11pm. I got so high it was ridiculous, at times, my eyes were blurry. It must have synergies with some of the subtler longer lasting opiates in the tes that I didn't really notice. Its nearly +3.00hrs since the dose and I'm still damn stoned. Interesting experiment, I didn't expect this, in fact I expected either sickness or just a normal codeine high.
