Not that much I would've thought 2-3ml should be enough, if it doesn't look like its dissolved you could just draw up more water in your syringe :)

As little as you can get away with or it's multiple syringe squirts :| You may need to "cook it" up to fully dissolve it, otherwise that slow release coating is quite gritty. It gets quite gel like too, so working while it's tepid helps with the eh 8) administration.

Plugging is helpful if you tend to throw up on DHC - I highly recommend it, it also comes on a wee bit quicker :D

^ Or use the instant release version to avoid gritty coatings and reduce gelling. Plus, it's instant release so hits quicker. Extended release work best for pain, instant release better for pleasure, in my opinion. But not a huge difference really.
 
with dhc extended release crushed = instant release in my experience, it's more a basic wax matrix a la purdue oxycontin than the hardcore morphine ones that aren't beaten by crushing
crushed dhc extended comes on quicker than uncrushed instant release, they're damn good
 
Just spotted a bottle of DHC 60mg Continus (extended release?) in the cupboard. Must be my dads. Fucking doctors give you anything when your pushin on. I've never done Opiates are anything like that before. Dosage???
 
what does CWE stand for and how do you do and and what is the purpose? Sorry not well up on this type of stuff so sorry in advance if its a stupid question to some of you.
 
Cold water extraction.

Its a way to remove paracetamol from paracetamol and codeine preperations to avoid fucking your liver up.

It relies on the low solubility of paracetamol in cold water compared to the high solubility of opiates.
 
I take it codeine is bad for you then? and how do you separate the 2 in the water? and know which is which?
 
sorry for above post I've just read up about it on the internet... how soon do you need to cool it down though to get the desired result?
 
Ya mix it up with water, chill it in the fridge for about 20mins and pass through a coffee filter. That's about it really. There are some differences in the methods that people use but that's the underlying principle.

Look around on the net, loads of info.

Doesn't seem like the best method to me. Codeine dissolves fast in cold water. Although paracetamol has poor solubility in cold water - more is going to dissolve the longer you leave it.

I always crushed up the tablets and mixed it with chilled water (I always used around 200ml for 32 8/500 tablets) and gave it a little stir to get everything wet. I immediately filtered it; I cut the top off a two litre bottle and fix a couple of sheets of kitchen roll as a filter. Then I pour the solution through this and let it drip into my glass.

It probably makes little difference but I always reckon that the longer you leave the mixture, the more paracetamol will also dissolve.
 
Don L's method is about spot on, no need to leave it sitting around if you use ready chilled water
 
Dons method is pretty much spot on.

Only thing i'd personally change is if you are gunna use kitchen roll as your filter pre-wet it before hand so it's damp. That way avoids the situation of pouring in your CWE and it all soaking up the sides.

Does the paracetamol stay on the kitchen roll and the codeine drip into the glass?
 
Yeah man. If it's thin kitchen roll, make sure you use a couple of lairs.

Use a clear, clean glass too - if the liquid that filters through is cloudy then filter it again. If it's done properly it will be clear. If you're doing two boxes, then crush and extract them separately to prevent waste.

Would be a good idea to have a wee anti-histamine before you take it too, if you're doing two boxes. A beer or cider with the codeine will pronounce the effects a wee bit more and feel...well...it'll feel just swell :)
