Benzos clonazepam isn't working worth shit anymore

You need more than benzos if you are thinking of suicide my friend.Please seek help that fits your needs if you are serious about the "offing"and try to do as the others say.Don't run to the easy and quick cure first.Chances are that will not work long term.Do some self analyzation.(I know this sounds cheesy)and try to fiqure whats up with out the benzos and believe me you do not want a benzo addiction followed by a couple of months of tapering(if you can)then weeks of W.D.s cold turkey style even after the taper.Thats what i am in the beginning of.It sucks quick like.
 
All benzos stop working eventually. This is for the same reason that they are not supposed to be used for long-term maintenance. It is in my opinion irresponsible for doctors to take the easy option and get their patients hooked to benzos instead of trying sustainable solutions like anti-depressants or other non-addictive psychiatric meds.

I stopped getting relief from valium and xanax after about 6 months of daily addiction. I think it's called "rebound anxiety"; but the upshot was that I felt at least an nervous and panicky as I ever had before, with the one extra that if I didn't take my dose I was many times worse.

Things have been better since I got clean.

Some antidepressants are addictive in a physical sense, although they are not euphoric/reinforcing in the same way benzodiazepines are.

Doctors aren't solely responsible for other people's addictive tendencies and cannot be blamed for why people get addicted to benzodiazepines. By this reasoning, no patients should have benzodiazepines, as eventually someone will sell some or it will be illegally diverted by someone else.

I should say rather that using benzos for maintenance is like giving nothing but morphine injections to a person with a broken leg; in that it not only fails to treat to the problem but creates an illusion of well-being by seeming to get rid of the pain.

Everything in my life has improved since I got off benzos, EVERYTHING.

Even the most addictive anti-depressants (like Pristiq and Effexor) do not compare to benzos; I think if you claim otherwise you're being dishonest. The whole "addict" mentality is absent from anti-depressants because they don't induce typically "pleasurable" feelings but work in a more long term and sustainable way. At worst they may create 1-3 days of discomfort upon discontinuation, but more serious cases are anomolous.

I think that benzos do have legitimate uses. I also think they can be legitimately used for anxiety specifically. But doctors act irresponsibly in my opinion when they prescribe benzos for longer than, say, one month. They know that this is contrary to guidelines and likely to lead to addiction. It just comes down to the fact that they would rather give a quick fix and get their bill rather than put their head down and think about what would be in the long term interests of the patient.

I have alot of experience with these meds, I'm not sermonising.

I just stopped taking klonopin. It's been about a month and a half of not taking any benzos. Just like you, when I first started taking klonopin, it was a lifesaver, then, I needed 10+ mg just to feel relief. It also started making me miserable and flat out crazy while I was on them. If you have sudden panic attacks, I highly suggest taking your doctor up on the xanax idea. Xanax will work wonders for you. But just like any other benzo, or drug for that matter, tolerance WILL develop and you will start needing more for the same effect. The best advice I could possibly give you is to take the benzos when you need them most and not just because you feel like you want a buzz. This is going to be hard though, especially if you're like me and you love the feeling benzos give you. Good luck dude.

This is very, very true. Especially if you start out w/ the street benzos, where you'll be encountering 1mg doses at least, once you get to a legitimate prescription, chances are you won't get those 2mg "bars" or "pins." And so, 0.5 of any benzo, Temazepam, Clonopin, Xanax, or otherwise, is not going to do it for you for very long.

I've found that the effects of benzodiazepines are highly dependent on other factors such as blood-sugar levels and amount of exertion/exercise. For example, I used to bike to college and if I took my 1.5/mg Clonazepam before the 1-1 1/2 mile trip, I'd be feeling lousy by lunchtime.
On the other hand, if you wake up on Sunday, take 3 0.5/mg pins, you're going to knock yourself out for half the day at the very least!
 
for some reason my body metabolizes klonopin into sugar or something, it literally does nothing for me. I could probably take a whole bottle with mild sedation
 
i dont know how you guys take 1 mg of xanax alone and still function fine..i know tolerance is present but with me, if i dont take some type of caffeine with my benzo dose, all i get is sluggishness and just feel too slowed down..thats what benzos do obviously but i feel too sluggish to get mcuh done even on low doses of xanax..

you benzo lovers that keep getting hooked, why dont you learn to just take 1-2 days off here and there??just be a recluse on those days and lay off the benzos?is it that hard to do as ive never developed cravings for benzos..maybe you guys do??

also, for those hooked on benzos, has your sex drive been affected at all??
 
taking large doses of benzos frequently throughout the day, or days or weeks at a time of course will lead you to think they aren't doing shit, not only klonopin. when i was on xanax, it got t the point i was eating 7-10 bars at once and not feeling any sedation whatsoever. at one point i needed t eat 20 bars on a fresh day to feel an effect, any redosing throughout the day i felt NO EFFECT, its called tolerance, i had this experience with klonopin,valium,and xanax.
 
I'm surprised I don't have any STDs from the promiscuous sex I would have in a blackout and find out the next day, and then forget again, and repeat. I'm glad I took the CD that is my life off repeat, that track was getting olddd. -____-
 
to the op dont off ya self man look ive been through hell im stuck on suboxone and klonopin 4 mg a day o well man ill stay on these until my life is right job house wife kids ect..... and the benzo addiction comes on fast u should taper off now please do not stop abrupt i had 2 seizures from benzo w/d be safe peace and love k-pin 2 mg will work fine just dont take 4mgs one day 1mg the next stay at ur daily dose day after day i take 4 mgs a day i come home after work i cant keep my head up so i fall asleep i miss lots of shit from dam benzos did stupid shit to yada yada yada we all did good luck to ya brotha
