Benzos clonazepam isn't working worth shit anymore

never cared for clonazepam either.
the tolerance thing is definitely true, and in the case of benzos is pretty fucking extreme, even when i haven't taken any for quite a while, if i don't keep my usage as low as possible and infrequent soon the doses needed escalate into absurdity.
and while i never had a paradox reaction from clonazepam i did have those from bromazepam and lorazepam respectively, and it was not my idea of fun. at all.

for some reason my body metabolizes klonopin into sugar or something, it literally does nothing for me. I could probably take a whole bottle with mild sedation

not quite sugar, but even though i had a prescription to the 2mg ones for a while, my 1mg alprazolam script was still a lot more useful. but then again, temazepam never did anything for me either, and that seems to be a favorite among a lot of people.

I would give some advice but I do not know your story. Some docs prescribe benzos for long term use and shouldn't. Benzos should only be prescribed for long term use by someone like a psychiatrist or psychiatric ARNP. They need to be prescribed by someone that knows about chronic benzo use, addiction, and withdrawal.

What is your condition and what type of doctor is prescribing these for you?

I would like to know what you are being prescribed K-pin before offering advice. As for the posts about sex and benzos; what the hell good are those posts for the OP?

Clonazepam cause an extreme rise in tolerance within 2 months of daily use (as prescribed) for me. I also had terrible withdrawals when I switched to Xanax XR (same dose). This experience and some experiences of close friends have given me a very negative opinion for clonazepam. Despite what doctors recommend, I don’t believe Klonopin should be taken every day. The half-life is too long for that frequent of dosing and tolerance rises way to fast.

I have been using Xanax for much longer and continue to use it to this day. For my needs (sudden anxiety & panic attacks) Xanax is very useful. I tend to only dose once or twice a day and fight hard to keep my dose very low. Even though Xanax works well for my needs, I would be hesitant to recommend it. I believe that it is truly a drug to be taken as needed (i.e. as little as possible). It can be extremely addictive and the potential for abuse is very high. It’s a different kind of abuse than clonazepam IMO. The few times I did increase my dose of clonazepam I was looking for relief that I couldn't get. When I increase my dose of Xanax I'm looking for a fun time and I already have relief. If you are someone who seeks the recreational effects of drugs, then avoid Xanax unless you have real self-discipline.

Note: My Xanax use is .5mg - 1mg/day currently. High doses of Xanax will have the same problems as high doses of Klonopin. It is very important to keep your benzo doses low (lower than prescribed even).
