then you give a link to rings of desire which states many women feel it has healed withing 4 days which id good but they should continue the cleaning process for a month. and the healing time they quote is 4-6 weeks....

I think it looks cute( & inviting) but in my opinion it does get in my way as do nipple piercings


all of you who say it only took 4 days to heal and a month etc.. are
way off base
it may look healed but it will take 6-12 weeks for it to heal properly and completely, and if you lost sensation that could be why !!!!!!
i am talking from experience i worked in a piercing shop for over a year !

alot of ppl heer are sayin they gad no probs but please be safe and smart !

and yes you BETTER feel comfortable w/ your piercer !!!

4-6 is specificly for the clit not the hood

Due to the location there is a high amount of movement and chance for irritation.
also it is new, so cleaning the piercing and the general area around it can be ruff until you learn how to handle your new piercing,
and because it is new you can't help but want to play w/ it, look at it etc..
plus w/ verticals esp. you have to watch what clothes you wear, i.e. not really tight pants as this may cause more irritation

under optimal conditions healing can be complete in 6 wks,
however since nothing is optimal
and since ppl can never seem to follow directions completely
we recommended as do others i know 6-12 weeks
better safe then sorry
I know 12 wks is a bit long , but it can take upto that long if not mantained/ treated proper !
I believe the APP states a period of 6-10 weeks , although i checked their new site and i can't find that information listed

allowing a good circulation of air will also aid in the healing process it may sound weird but after regular cleaning sitting around w/ no clothes on below the waste for a lil bit( not too long unless ya want too) will be very beneficial !

It is highly recommended to get a genital piercing done by an APP approved piercer

and if you are looking for stimulation enhancement for this piercing the vertical is highly recommened, although i would recommend changing to a bent barbell AFTER you have completely healed

you should initialy be pierced w/ a captive or circular BB

and again if for any reason you do not feel comfortable w/ your piercer
STOP and find another one !

actually rings of desire says "Clitoral Hood-Vertical weeks-6 weeks" on the page you sent... typo there is no number in front of the first weeks
on this page it says

Well it took me a little longer to get done then i thought i would but i finally got it done two days ago! yay! I'm so proud of myself because i've ben wanting it for over two and a half years and finally worked up the courage to get it.

It hurt for about two seconds (it really fucking hurt) BUT as i said it was only TWO seconds which is a quicker piercing then any others i have had done.

I got a horizontal one with a ring with a ball and ever snce it was put it i havn't felt ANY pain whatsoever.

I'm surprised that it's not even in the 'healing' process really (all the gunk and throbbiness that comes with new piercings etc - sounds gross but anyway.. )

My piercer did say that it is probably the most cleanest place to get pierced as in it's self cleaning kinda thing. It hasn't swelled up or anything and i think if i wanted to i could probably have sex right now and it wouldn't hurt *shrugs*

I have to wash it twice a day with cooled boiled water and salt but it doesn't even look or feel like it needs it (as it looks and feels like it's been there for a long time ie not in 'healing' stage as i said)

and it looks oh so so pretty

I'm stoked with it and definitely recomend it.

TWO seconds and havn't felt any pain since. I still can't believe it and can't believe i didn't do it sooner.

Yeah i got mine done when i was 18..... i had a bit of a bad experience with mine though..... the piercer couldn't seem to get the needle through my skin and it took them about 6 tries before they finally plunged the needle in. Was very very painful.... but now, heading onto 5 1/2 years later, i am still proud of it (maybe because of the pain i went through to get it)

But mine is straight through the clit.. Its ok now because i still have sensation etc etc. But i lost all feeling for the first 2 weeks after getting it done... scared the hell out of me. I thought my sex life was doomed.

^^ yeah after hearing that with an actual clit piercing opposed to the hood could make you loose sensation AND it would be extremely painful i opted for the hood.

i LOVE mine. it didn't hurt that much.. i remember the needle going in (ouch) and then the piercer said, just one more pinch to get the ring in (ouch again..) but it hurt more when he accidently nicked my clit with the pliers he was using to widen the ring...(very ouch) but i think i was just unlucky.

sex the first time hurt more...

it healed REALLY quickly, quicker then my other piercings...(ears and navel) and it's never given me any trouble...

i noticed with the ring.. running was fun.. and there was the risk that it was going to twist around and pinch me.. (kinda uncomfortable in public coz u gotta just put up with it.. can't fiddle with u'r crotch to fix it unless a loo's nearby)

as for sex... well it didn't make MUCH of a different.. unless the guy came in contact with the ring... then lookout!!

i've since changed it into a tiny bar... with blue stones.. and LOVE IT!. looks so pretty.. teehee...

see the biggest boost wasn't sex wise.. and i've found several guys hav been put off by it.. their afriad of it.. it was confidence.. i'd always been a little shy about myself down there... but since getting the ring, i'm prouder.. and overall, the thot that i hav this little ring that few ppl know about. it's a definate boost...

i got a fair bit of shit from the few friends i told.. and asked for advice, they thot i was nuts... but i went and did it anyway, and i'm GLAD i did.

Hey, congrats on finally getting it done, and I'm glad you're enjoying it so much.

I've considered getting mine done and might in the future... I wouldn't be surprised if I could FINALLY have an orgasm from penetration if I had a lil something rubbing on me. I'd get the vertical hood barbell I think.

One of my good friends has that done and 4 piercings on each of her outer labia... to me that's overkill but her partners seem to like it.

I've never been with a girl with any kind of genital piercing but i know i don't like them in porn...

Not that thats any indication of real life... if I were to be with a girl and her daks were off and there was some metal down there i would be more likely to be curious and want to see it up close, move it around, ewxperiment etc, rather than be turned off... for me it would be more of a fun and interesting thing that sexual...

they just intimidate me. that and like...the hood piercing goes through such a thin piece of skin...i'd be petrified of ripping it out or something. nipple rings dont scare me as much, but still. I just get kind of squeamish, because i think of the needle going through my own nipple or something. they just freak me out.

however it wouldnt stop me from dating a girl if she had them. I'd just be a very nervous nellie the first few times i was with her. I know, I'm weird.
