City crooks who come to the countryside and rip off the locals

^ Technically, "narcs" are narcotics officers. As in, that's their day-time job. That they get pay, pension, and benefits for.

Well i meant they don't get any of the money, weed they rob the person of. Or the time they rob them of. Some people narc to get out of trouble or for money sure...but i meant they don't get any of the score.

And let's not get technical about the definition of a narc, cuz a narc is a narc is a snitch is a rat is a narc no matter who they work for.

In my book, the worst sins are rape/torture with snitching/narcing being close behind. very close. I think narcs deserve to be locked up more than a good amount of murderers. Especially if the narc sent a good man that happens to sell coke for a living to prison for life when some1 else is just gonna take his place.

W/e nothing else to say on it...just thought that thieving is atleast half way honorable depending on the situation, and even when it isn't it's still infinitly better moraly than snitching/narcing.

Informing on someone is a form of betrayal. Betrayal has always been considered one of the worst sins ever (behind murder, rape, and torture, of course) because it's always an act of pure selfishness. One can steal for the greater good. One can't betray for the greater good. It's only our faith that most people we know WON'T betray us that makes us able to give of ourselves to other people. As soon as that starts unraveling, we might as well each live in our own little lonely tree out on the savannah again.

This goes way beyond the scope of this thread, but I don't see anything wrong with someone who's truly fucked another person over getting squealed on. If you beat the shit out of me and I'm asked in court whether or not you did, I've done no wrong showing the judge my bruises and telling all. Why should I show silent loyalty to someone who sees nothing wrong with treating me like shit?

But when it comes to drugs, I agree silence is golden. If we truly hold that drug use and the drug market are victimless crimes, then we'd be hypocrites to allow informing on drug-related crimes, since the 'criminals' have done us no wrong -- we did it to ourselves.

With a few days' distance from the incident, I can't imagine how I'd feel if I had actually whacked one of those guys, even if I never did get caught or charged. I think I'd also feel pretty fucking small if I had ditched whatever illegal stuff was on me, followed those guys, and reported them to the police.

I should add that in most cases thievery sucks, and most thieves are NOT worth looking up to, because most of them are doing it selfishly. Looking up to Robin Hood types who are really trying to better the system? That's cool. Looking up to someone who takes what they want just because they can? That's disturbing.

^^^well, i dont talk to cops period. you can shoot me and I wont snitch I'll go get a gun...but that's different from what were talking about (like u already said)....but really when it comes to the law I'm silent for anyone....that's just one of my values i guess.

And most robbers aint robin hoods, they rob in hoods lol. idk i guess when i do hit a lick i spread the wealth but either way it's not really "right".

Oh and if you clocked one of em and he happened to have your weed and the money and you took it all, you'd be different about what happened. I think it's pretty sad when you have to fight for what's yours too but it's the way it is and if I gotta fight for what's mine you gotta fight for what's yours thats the way i look at it

that shits your own fault. if your dumb enough to walk into the woods with 3 strangers, people that you already regconized as 'gansters'as opposed to hippys, with the intent to sell 1.5 oz. which is a lot to sell a stranger let alone 3. of course your goin to get jacked. wtf are you thinkin? you might be a good person but the rest of the wrold is not.

you just got DEE-BO'ed my friend.

there is no such thing as "city folk" and "country folk" and all that bullshit.
there's only those who have, and those who need.

those guys only took you for your shit because they were smart enough to realize that you werent going to do a goddamn thing about it.

Because always taking the opportunity to take advantage of someone makes you smart... 8)

People who think it's alright to steal from someone because there are drugs or drug money involved give the Drug Culture a bad name. I don't care if what you're stealing is legal or illegal, being a Thief makes you a grimy scumbag.

^^^ ok, fair enough, it does not make them more intelligent. these guys just wanted that green more than he did. And in the end, thats all that matters.

If MyDoorsAreOpen really needed that money from that green, he would have never gone through with the deal. I mean who the fuck walks into the woods outnumbered 3 to 1??? This has nothing to do with city vs. country morals and ethics. If that money was his livelihood, his whole life savings, his everything, do you think he would have lost it so easy??? Think about it. He lost it because he didnt truly need it.

Reality check people. I know I'm not the only one whos been taken for their shit! I've been robbed by guys I grew up with and known since the 3rd grade.

P.S. where do you live MyDoorsAreOpen :)

Apologies to all city folk who took offense. I was just the object of a very awesome act of kindness in NYC this past week, from a total stranger. I guess there's fuckers everywhere -- I just ranted about 'city people' because that's what made these guys stick out, and they're the only ones who've ever ripped me off. They were from Syracuse, by the way. youarewhatyouis, I'd rather not tell this forum exactly where I'm from, for safety's sake. Nothing personal.

to all of you who say, "who the hell does blah blah blah...", keep in mind I have never run into an even slightly similar situation before. That and I'm mildly autistic, and don't read people and situations well.

GottaGrind$, yeah I think I would have a different view of all this if I had attacked those guys -- a view from the inside of a prison. And if by some miracle I had gotten away with it (not bloody likely at a populated festival), I'd feel like the main character from Crime and Punishment. I had a mind to clock them simply because nobody likes getting a monkey made out of them. Now that I've cooled down, I'm glad I let that slide and hedged my bets on having a future.

Yeah, we've all got to fight for what's rightfully ours. I'm with you on that. But let's not forget there's different kinds of fighting, and the physical type isn't
A) the type I'm best at
B) usually worth the consequences unless it's a case of self-defense

Disrespect me all you want for getting myself into this situation -- I don't really have much more face to lose. But I'll take no disrespect for being nonviolent on principle. Violence is the most backward way to deal with problems. Anyone who feels they need it to survive lives in a pretty backward place, and would do themselves a favor spending all their efforts on getting the hell out.

It makes me angry that just because the fun I enjoy happens to be of the chemical variety, that makes it necessary to deal with potentially violent people and be ready to be violent myself. Because there's really no deep connection between brute force and drugs, other than some bullshit laws. That's the reason I used to grow.

This thread is starting to piss me off a little, MDAO, don't claim to be "mildly autistic" my best mate's parent adopted an autistic child and from what I gather there's no middle ground.

I just don't understand why you can't accept that you fucked up, I mean, I'm a pretty big guy and don't get intimidated easily, and even I wouldn't go into the woods with three punks to deal.

My guess is that the green eyed monster clouded better judgement and now you're venting about it on BL...

^ swifty brings up a couple valid points... in fact, he was totally against this thread from its start but I convinced him, after a lot of nagging back and forth (in a middle-aged sort of old ass lady fashion ;)), to keep it open.

this thread is getting off topic quick and derailed about certain points of views that don't even include the subject matter. do your best to leave these out, or if you don't I can't promise this thread will stay open. I think it's creative to have the general issue of "city" vs "country" drug and drug culture, just don't let it degenerate into some stupid shit. we're better than that here at DC, right crew?

you don't really have to apoligize to any of us city dwellers. if one took offense to your statements, they have a lot of re-thinking to do in general ;) I know you are a smarter and better person than to let one experience generalize a whole crowd.

see, that proves the lot of us aren't the scum of the Earth.

there are good and bad people in every form of social counter-culture. don't kid yourself otherwise and make your posts sound uneducated, at the least, and derailing this thread, at the most.

Swifty, I DID admit I fucked up. Three times. Do you want me to quote them? I also admitted this 'trade' is not for me, and I won't be getting into it again. You're right, I am venting about it here because I thought this was the place. Sorry if I picked the wrong forum -- feel free to move this to journals or some more appropriate place if you want.

Sorry if I derailed the discussion. I just didn't feel I deserved the amount of disrespect I copped here.

BTW, look up Asperger's Syndrome on Wikipedia, which is what I'm diagnosed with. You'll find that autism is very much a gamut of related disorders, hardly an all or nothing thing.

On second thought, go ahead and close this one. I don't need any more lectures about how clueless I am to the laws of the streets. And more importantly, I don't see any point in dwelling on this shit anymore.

MDOA - you most certainly did not deserve any disrespect that was dished to you, most of us know this.

we could all just use a healthy reminder to not give into our basic instict and generalize/categorize types of people on a knee-jerk reaction of sorts.
