Do you sport em? Personally, I could care less about making my house glow and my electric bill grow. It really doesn't make sense to decorate in my case because the house is on a hill where only 3 other houses would be able to see the decorations.

What about you?

Sense isn't what it's all about man. It's all about sending Christmas cheer. They are there to make you feel good. :)
I have a few decorated trees and shrubs and a few strings of lights lining my gutters.
Don't be a Christmas cynic!
plus the whole lot of them is maybe 200 watts. Barely a blip on the electric bill.

I have a tree with lights inside, and one outside. Don't see the need to go all out, then have to take it all down in a few weeks.

Its like tricking a car out with rims and all that....why do it if you cant enjoy it from where you sit......Decorate the shit out of the inside, if others want cheer they can decorate outside!

your electric bill doesn't have to go high, now they have energy efficient led Christmas lights that use very little electricity...

"a switch to LED lights can save 80 percent of the usual electricity consumed by traditional options"

And I think they look really cool and are brighter!

I covered my house in lights.... it looks pretty damn awesome.

And I love looking at other lights. I like taking walks in the evening because everything is now bright and glowy and colorful.

i love christmas lights! i am toooo lazy to put them up, but i love when other people do :)

Outside white lights on the bushes and the lamppost, inside: One large tree and one small tree, both with lots of white lights...white lights on the pine swag over the mantle, white lights on the fake plant on tope of the secretary, red lights on the plant on tope of the bookshelf at the end of the hall. Random other lights on decorations throughout the house. Most of them are up year round anyway...I guess you could saw I'm a "lights and decorating person."

They're tacky. I wouldn't be seen dead decorating my house with those.

I never do. But we always go for a nice long ride on Christmas Eve to check them out!! As a bonus, we saw an 8 point buck this year!! My dog (who was in the back seat) nearly lost her mind!!

It makes me happy. We have a little tree. And my bf put up icicle (white) lights up over the porch to make up for something that ended him up in the doghouse. I hate colored lights. I think white is classic and nice.

I love lights! They make me happy and warm. My parents and I usually go on a car ride around town to see everyone's decorations.
