Have the docs used a woodslamp on you or a scope of anykind? One thing ive noticed with me and my infected friends here is that under a woodslamp (blacklight) areas most infested with the mites will fluoresce a yellowish green (im color blind, but thats what my friends say it is), and going by medical diagrams it fluoresces about the color indicative of ringworm fungus. ( which is why i keep telling everyone i think the mites are a symptom and are attracted to a fungal overgrowth on us). Anyways see if they can do it or not, i was shocked how bad my nose and eyes and pupils glowed green, and my forehead too..also any scars i have also glow that greenish color.. If they use a skin scope they can see the mites or whatever they are, slugs maybe or at least a stage of them before they join into one? heck i dont know, if i did id be making the big bucks to ignore patients,,,lol at least it sounds like you fell into some decent Docs, talk to you later bud.
