Dude I used to commute from aurora to chicago everyday... to cop H.. LOL. Its not a 3 hour drive unless its rush hour.. more like 45 min to the west side and an hour to downtown..

And I always tell people I'm from chicago so suck it.. LOL...

If you still live there DO NOT LEAVE. I moved out west and aside from the skiing/snowboarding, I wish I still lived in my Andersonville apartment. If you live in the burbs, as I did growing up (Bolingbrook), get your ass into the city. Just move there. It's the best thing you'll ever do.

I'm going out there to visit a friend that is graduating navy bootcamp, and he is granted Liberty for a day before he goes to South Carolina to start schooling- so I want him to know a good night out before he gets back into the ol' militant grind.

im from one of the closest northwest suburbs here... but pretty much consider it to be the city since i can get to the city in 5min or so. when i really go out i end up going to a nice club like crobar or spybar... or events like seeing justice at congress theater on new years... which was pretty damn awesome. also recently saw metallica at allstate arena.

justice was fkn awesome, especially after eating a molly. I LOVED the set put on by the dj before them also, i think his name was So-Me. Justice put on a much better show than when i saw em in march, and there were much less douchebags present at the show.
