cheapest place to live in australia?

I was a big Canberra Raiders fan back in the day of all the greats: Mal Maninga, Laurie Daily, Ken Nagas, Noah Nadruku, Ricky Stuart, Brett Mullins, Bradley Clyde, Steve Walters, Glen Lazarus, David Furner...... Shit that team was the bomb back then, half the team was Australia's national team that year!!! i dont know what happened to the good old immortal green machine from 1994.

Now I'm more into Aussie Rules - Go the Swannies! Premiers for 2012! Yeeeeeew :)

You're telling me. Last few yrs have been really bad, but in 2009 I think it was they came runners up and melb were premieres which later got stripped, so they really won then and in 01 and 05 they were minor premiers (I think they came runners up in 01), and go way back and they were the best team for a while running.

Anyway I'm hoping one day they come back to their former glory days lol.

I've never been much into Aussie rules, but watching the grand final of League and Aussie rules last yr and I must admit the Aussie rules was much more exciting.
 
Haha yeah I imagine AFL would be a bit more exciting than soccer. I was quite shocked when I found out they don't have AFL on free to air television in the ACT. Ended up getting fox sports cheaper than going to the Ainslie club every times a game on and spending 50+ bucks on squirt.

It certainly was a good year! And I'd like to see another West Coast Eagles/Bloods grand final! The 2005/2006 grand finals between the two were some of the best i have watched
 
Becareful what you wish for because a swans/eagles grandy could easily happen this year! As much as some Victorians would hate it. As an eagles fan I hope not, I think the swans would thrash them, can't wait to see what happens in the home and away season when they first meet.

Anyway, on the topic of the thread.

rural Australia is damn cheap comparatively. I'm paying a 5th of what a two bedroom unit in North Melbourne was costing me. That said, petrol and food are dearer. There is also fuck all to do apart from play sport and outdoorsy stuff. Which is nice but a capital city still has alot more to offer.
