Caught by the cops

LOLZ +1 for Yeti that is sum funny shit! To the dude that got caught... well fuck. you're fifteen. Why the deuce are you doing drugs at such an age? you should know that marijuana has the propensity to stunt nervous system growth, and yours is at risk since it's still developing.

You fuckshits that say chocolate doesn't get you high have obviously never seen a fat person eat a Hershey bar.

druggies could go on forever debating if so-and-so is a gateway drug. all it is going to amoun to is a waste of time. this thread isn't even about gateway drugs. if any of you feel so possessed to beat a dead horse even further into the ground - at least start your own thread about it and please try to reword it at the very least, so I can pretend I haven't seen something like it 100 times over ;)

Just because you don't stumble about and slurr your speech doesn't mean you aren't on a drug. I thought it was pretty much common sense that the drugs in chocolate affect your mood.

I think the point everyone is trying to get to you is that although chocolate and psychoactive substances have many things in common, which studies prove (off the top of my head I'm thinking of some study done that proved eating chocolate effects some dopamine receptors in the same way as a heroin addict doing heroin, or something of the like anyways).

however, it's kinda foolish to put the affects of one eating chocolate and one smoking a joint into the same ballpark.

You're telling me you notice those effects? Better yet, the majority of people notice them?

If so, how much do you weigh?

I'm 185. I don't eat junk food, but if I'm craving chocolate, or sweets in general, I certainly notice the good feelings from eating some. So does everyone. If they didn't, they would not eat it.

I just enjoy the taste. And, I think most other people do. They're not eating it because it affects dopamine and causes a pleasurable state.

Sounds like you're just feeling good about satisfying an urge, maybe even hunger. Pregnant women feel good after eating all types of shit...

Weed is only seen as a gateway drug because its the most popular and easiest to get. I did both E+acid before I tried weed, so that theory is aload of shit.

I enjoy the taste too, and mainly eat it due to that...But I can notice an increase in my mood whenever I've eaten some. and I weigh 180.

It turns out that my roommate was correct in her assertion that chocolate affects the levels of endorphins in the brain. Eating chocolate increases the levels of endorphins released into the brain, giving credence to the claim that chocolate is a comfort food. The endorphins work to lessen pain and decrease stress (2). Another common neurotransmitter affected by chocolate is serotonin. Serotonin is known as an anti-depressant. One of the chemicals which causes the release of serotonin is tryptophan found in, among other things, chocolate

You can't deny that chocolate has no affect on the brain simply because you can't notice it.

To play the devil's advocate to my own point for a moment, I suppose the nay-sayers were using the term "high." Using a bit of heroin when you have a tolerance certainly causes endorphin reactions, but you don't feel it; are you "high" if it's not enough to feel it? Semantics, I suppose.

^
Exactly. I was saying that earlier, just didn't relate it to a different drug.

A lot of things affect our mood and neurotransmitters, but they don't get us "high".

^ That said, I stand by my point that it is possible to, and many people do feel the effects of chocolate in terms of pleasantness and euphoria (though not incredibly big) beyond that of satisfying a craving. Of course, after using recreational drugs for a while, we are liable to not notice it.

.

Same here, how can anyone not notice it?

I've smoked in a theme park parking lot, twice. I also smoked on the sky ride thing. If you REALLY want to do it, just eat it. No one will know and you'll be fried. You deffinatly have to be cautious about it though. I stopped when I heard a little kid asking, "Mommy, what's that smell" I felt bad then:\ Sucks that you got caught though.
