Caught by the cops

If you live in a small town you need t be careful, getting noticed by the police at a young age is very bad. Once the police of a small town know your name you are fucked.

some small town police work in cooperation with the school, i.e. you will be watched more closely than other kids your age. The police will remember you too, they will know your car and your friends and try to screw you any way they can.

If it weren't for pot I'd never have done any of the stimulants, hallucinogens, RCs, etc. that I've tried, but I mean it in a good way. Pot taught me that something that society claims is evil can still be beneficial, and can still have positive effects on your life. At the very least it can be harmless. Pot taught me to question what They tell me about the things I put into my body.

I've since quit smoking pot. You can call it growing out of it, getting bored with it, or simply deciding I don't like it anymore, but I still respect what it symbolized for me.

Most people would of tried those drugs even in the absence of weed. What if weed was never here, would acid be the gateway drug?

I seriously doubt there are many people that go "Im bored of this high, lets try cocaine!"

99% of Heroin users have probably tried Chocolate, guess that's a gateway drug too.

And no, it's not under 2 years..if that even matters.

Yeah, but using chocolate didn't give them the impression of "Hey, drugs aren't as bad as everyone says".

Yeah you could say alcohol and nicotine are usually tried first, but a lot don't consider them as drugs.
 
Sucks that you got caught, you should try a less public place if you decide to smoke again.
 
I have to agree with Corkedyeti on weed being a gateway drug. Why? You smoke for a few years and tell me you didnt try a single other drug and ill be suprised most people say i didnt do anything after a year but something happens you get curious because your like hey lets smok some trees and snort some lello!
 
for a young guy, you have a pretty mature attitude.

Good on you mate. I too was caught at a young age, and i went for the same option as you. Decided it wasnt the way i wanted my life to head (slave to the bong) so that was the last time i smoked.

Some people doubted i could do it, but i stayed strong, and went from a borderline pass high schooler, to now being about 6 months off having a university degree.

Good on you little dude, not for being caught, but for being big enough to actually re-evaluate yourself

lmao. well ive uttered that sentence...i got bored with pot and tried coke. then other shit. but in my opinion, i'm a better person overall. it depends on the person whether drugs fuck them over or make them more worthwhile.

For real. Granted I smoked herbs before anything else except booze... so maybe booze was the gateway drug? YEP, if that's the dumb logic we wanna use here.

Or maybe it was that cigarrette butt I smoked when I was like 9 years old. YEP!

Ganja just happens to be less hardcore and easier to find than a lot of other drugs. Not weed's fault! And it's certainly not weed's fault if you can't be satisfied with it's inherent delights.

It makes no sense to say that cannabis is a gateway drug for hard stimulants like meth/coke/crack or downers or any other drug that doesn't resemble ganja in effect. These are not replacement highs because herbs stop working. Ganja will always be there, you're just a naturally curious person! Many of us are.

Maybe ganja is a gateway drug to LSD and shrooms but that's allright with me ;)
