It's good to know that all this time I have been 'debating' with someone who can happily discredit a longitudinal scientific study conducted by multiple academics on a thousand people by saying 'bollocks' because they don't think IQ is an appropriate measurement - but primarily they don't want to believe drugs are bad in any way. People who oppose scientific studies from their own bias are the exact people who stop drugs being legalised in the first place, which makes you one and the same - just on opposite sides of the argument.

I'm not on any 'side'. I leave division to you, you're very good at it.

So the study is void because they used IQ to measure intelligence?

And pray tell what test would you have used to judge their intelligence?

The line of argument that you don't like that measurement, probably because of some airy fairy bs about how we're all equal or some people have street smarts or something equally specious, doesn't really stick. IQ tests carry through into life outcomes extremely well. You won't find many people on the tills at Asda with IQs of 150 and you won't find many brain surgeons with IQs of 80, so whilst it might not be perfect, I suspect you can't come up with better.

They could have a IQ of 160 but still be living with in a homeless hostel . In fact i've known loads of people that have been blessed with high I.Q that can't function in the real world .

Ambiguous how? To anyone that can read a chart it should be patently obvious. It is quite obvious to me that when I go and see my doctors they have greater cognitive abilities than I do, hence the reason they are a doctor and I am not.

A policeman could have an IQ of 85 and a detective an IQ of 115 according to that chart... You have proven nothing. Nothing you are saying disputes the study which IQ tested tens of thousands of people in various professions to create a bell curve of IQ for each profession. It's just knee jerk anti-IQ sentiment.
