Totally unexpected results
After becoming somewhat familiar with Ecstasy, I worked up the courage last night to try weed. The results were completely unexpected.
A friend and I shared a joint. We smoked it all at once. Although I did not know what to expect, the high was much different than I anticipated. I thought it would be child's play. I'm thankful I wasn't afraid. I don't mean for this to be a trip report, so I'm not going to go through the whole experience.
I was surprised to find that everything kind of swayed and breathed. At one point I was sitting in a chair and became unable to move my lower body. Somehow I knew that my feet were so heavy that it was impossible to lift them off the floor. At one point a friend and I tried to fold a pile of clean shirts, but each shirt seemed to take a lifetime to fold and after the third one I finally became so overwhelmed that I had to drop it and lay on the floor and just feel good.
I was surprised by how it came in sudden waves. Out of the blue suddenly things would escalate and each time it was different. I walked into the living room to talk to my partner when a wave hit me, and I can't even explain what happened. Suddenly I wasn't really me and was just a part of everything is the best way I can say it. It was like somehow I was existing in all kinds of different dimensions at one time. It was surreal.
At other times a 'surge' would hit me and I would zone out and when I looked around, the room would be at a weird angle. Other times my feet would buzz and tickle. I'm usually very composed and all of a sudden I would want to stand up and act like a two year old and wave my arms and just say stupid things. What made it kind of sketchy was that unlike E, I realised just how retarded I was behaving at the time.
I tried to go for a walk, and for the first time experienced drug paranoia. Although it wasn't scary and didn't cause anxiety, I felt so totally out of control and that I wouldn't be able to hold it together if I needed to, unlike E. It felt like everyone was watching me and my buddy and knew just how stupid we were.
The most amazing thing were the closed eye visuals. I had no idea I would experience such a thing. For the first time in my life I had brilliantly coloured fractal and geometric patterns. Fireworks exploded. Fields of amorphous shapes danced and flashed to the beat of the psy-trance I was listening to.
I had no idea that weed would be that sort of experience. Everyone always told me that it made you giggly and feel really relaxed. Although there were some aspects of that, the peak of the trip was not what I would call super intense, but it was definitely a mind fuck.
Is this a pretty typical weed experience?
