Recently, I visited the ER due to recurring stomach problems, a continuation of my long-term bowel issues and previous surgeries. During the examination, the doctor inquired about my cannabis use, to which I honestly replied that it was minimal. A standard CT scan was performed for abdominal evaluation. Subsequently, I was discharged with a diagnosis of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS), based on a positive cannabis drug test.
While I acknowledge CHS as a recognized condition involving cyclical nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain associated with cannabis use, and that the diagnosis can be made after 3 or more yearly episodes, I have reservations about its applicability in my case. I understand there can be skepticism surrounding CHS diagnoses. It is a chronic gut-brain disorder related to long-term cannabis use and is characterized by episodic vomiting and abdominal. I plan to discuss this further with my physician
Anyone else experienced this shit?
