Opioids Can you smoke methadone syrup?

I’m not trying to smoke cough syrup, I’m attempting to convert the methadone hcl in the syrup into methadobe freebase and then extract that. Aside from the fact that if possible it would reduce my needs for street opioids, it also would allow a dose to last much longer, as a person in the thread I posted was able to make their methadone last twice as long, and therefor also is a harm reduction measure in that for someone who runs out early or spills some would be able to make their methadone last longer by smoking the freebase, if you’d like to understand this further I’d suggest reading the link I posted

I'm only expressing that the topic of the OP is a bad idea in the first place. I can't speak to the legitimacy of your method here, its just not something anyone should be doing anyway.

Making methadone smokeable isnt harm reduction though, people should take it orally, any other method comes with a ton of overwhelming risk attached to it.

I can see lol, think it's put me off injecting for life. Idk how people get it into their veins, I just literally can't do it.

Btw, is plugging methadone best, or oral?

Plugging methadone in the best ROA for the drug.

Fastest onset.

But i use pills. The syrup should work too though

It is harm reduction for those who “spill” their doses? C’mon, just say you want the rush of a smokable opioid. Methadone’s legs make it pretty dangerous as opioids go, chasing the dragon is going to really amplify that danger as it provokes redosing when the rush fades.

As for the reason the tek failed, that thread ended 11 years ago. Abuse resistant formulations have really had a lot of money thrown at them in the past decade as the general attitude towards opioids has changed.

I wouldn’t recommend following this procedure, especially with the evidence that the tek doesn’t work. Would feel pretty bad to waste your take homes and be in wd because of this.

I've never tried it, but I'd have to say no. I tried smoking codeine & promethazine syrup (aka 'purple drank/lean') once and it was horrific!!!
