EMD Can we get a freakin' TECHNO thread or what?

Dude you're missing out, if you can get with that groove, there's no other like it.

It's similar in respect to the progressive rythmns, dark atmosphere etc, just faster, fatter and more hectic ;)

He also produces boring/ I mean pure techno under the name Luke Mcmillan.
Sounds similar to techno drum&bass (total madhouse)

I got back from Awakenings Eidhoven on Monday and it absolutely blew my mind.

Ben Sims & Paul Mac was one of the best techno sets I've ever heard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1N9jGlZy6gg&feature=related the lighting and the setting in the old Philips electonics factory was amazing.

Technasia, Redshape, DJ Rush, DJ 3000 were all amazing and it was a true redemption for Adam Beyer, he played the best hard techno I've heard him play in a long time and he also played the bit from the end of Bladerunner "Time to die" which was amazing.

This whole thread and not a single mention of Tony Rohr? Seriously?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0B_YzaM4oEk <--- crappy myspace page montage that actually does a pretty damn good job of condensing about 45 minutes of a set into 9 minutes. My advice... turn off your monitor while this one is playing... the dancing is almost too painful to watch.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y55qf-Z65s <--- Crummier sound, but a much better representation of what this man does.

Sounds incredible.

I am so god damn sick of beatport. It's almost to the point where I am considering giving up djing entirely. I just spent like 45 minutes listening to new releases and didn't find ONE good one. fucking brutal. Juno is too slow to make serious progress too (and I find their selection is not much better). I know stompy is pretty kickass for house. anyone got a similar link for a techno site? I just cannot sift through any more throbby monotonous crap to find one good bouncy track.

From what I've heard, beatport is the MTV of electronic music (crap). :p

holy shit, I think that's the first time I have ever seen the mod stick whipped out in EMD. that cascade track is hype though.

seriously. take it to the dubstep thread already (a thread where I am still not 100% certain that it isn't just a whole bunch of people trolling each other by trying to convince each other that they actually like music that sucks so hard).
