Ben Sims, Adam Beyer, DJ Rush, Bryan Zentz, Funk D'Void, Ladida, Jeff Mills, Marco Bailey, Marco Carola, Oxia, Slam, The Hacker, Vitalic, Sven Vath... %)8o=D

I weekend, 3 different clubs 3 choices:

1. Dave Clarke
2. Frequency 7 (Ben Sims & Surgeon)
3. Luke Slater aka Planetary Assult Systems

Which one should I choose and why?
(No, I can't go to all of them I don't have the money!)
EDIT: Dave Clarke is the least possible (longest drive)

I'd go for Frequency 7...

Can't really give a reason why other than personal preference... I've seen Ben Sims before and whilst I don't remember much of the night... ( ;) ) ...I know it was good! Some of my old favourite tek tracks and one of my most favourite tek sets is by Ben Sims (Escapism)... would LOVE to see him again... tough choice though as I've seen Dave Clarke as well! :P

hehehe that'll do... for now :) All these classics I'm finding as I go through my albums is starting to give me serious withdrawals from good techno parties! We used to have one here in Adelaide called Wind Up. It was held the last Friday of every month, on the 3rd floor of this old building, tucked away down an alley. There was no signage for the club, you just went down this alley and through this dodgy old door, climbed the stairs til you got to the top floor, called Skylab... There was this smallish room with the decks right there on the dancefloor with everybody else...

It was pretty much the same crowd every month... couple of hundred people - if that... maybe 100 on a regular night, to a couple hundred on a special night (eg when Ben Sims came). Kicked off with tech house, build up to chuggier stuff... tribal... and ended with insane banging hard as f**k tunes to really get your head blown off... WOW... GREAT TIMES... and an atmosphere I have never felt anywhere else... Wind Up will always be the BEST times I've ever had and I think ever will have in my clubbing life. =D

techno that is both minimal and elegant.

maybe you would like martin buttrich. he does (did?) a lot of the production work for timo maas and loco dice, but i think the individual productions he has posted atm fall into the classy minimal/melodic techno category. i don't know though, a lot of what i would consider tech-house is being classified as techno these days...

i can't believe lützenkirchen is taking such criticism in here! i think most of his tracks are amazing - not at all boring. i'd love to see him play.
