Yeah.. I'm pretty new to the whole thing cos I was never part of the rave scene or even nightclubs really. I'm from south of Melb on the peninsula and we had a surfy/skatey/grungy culture.
 
Alex is the do it yourself man in terms of audio electronic, always searching for new sound he is
creating hardware audio units since his early youth.

Melbs always was techno city, pushed it the hardest.You get a good selection of underground dj's.. If i were you i'd check the sounds of ppl coming out go out & boogie til ur mr squiggled. Local gigs too im sure. Im buzzed for u!...!! if you havent caught a night of real techno..in the flesh yet... Like mindfulness driving on the freeway. 😶‍🌫️

U must dance!! Until you get to the freeeeee place.. get so loose that self consciousness can start to blip away. Thats the first and last point for me. If it doesnt happen & my body/mind isnt absorbed. Then non-event..i wasnt really there. Ofc not all techno flavors or gigs will hit the chemistry for everyone. Keep an ear out for sounds Everyone we all want the same thing, to get free from self-cons-anxiety- get free around ppl. The body> right music > mind > all just unlocking each others keys and locks until Free Access Free Pass free from societies 🙀 personalities 🦱 boxy cracked structures. But possessed in good music, nothing is cracked after all

I reckon youre wrong about getting hit on. Overall anyway. I cant speak for your exp or womens. Yes its often a nightclub type venue.. But historically that was one aspect of the huge frequency change when rave music hit. Speaking for the uk anyway. Ppl were there to DANCE. im male but fwiw ive never sensed/felt that at gigs ive been to..but im always lost for the music so not the best source.. It just, doesnt make sense in that energy, that environment. Festivals, totally diff story. The big ones esp..bring out an A-Z of dodgy fucks. But underground techno, underground house..?? Just seek the underground generally to detour around that rubbish.
