Really? How do they know ur clean to get ur script?? I have always been clean so I get my week of carrys right there. The bathroom has a camera in it and we bring our sample over to the next room. And when u get ur chance to go in the bathroom she will give u ur bottle and writes ur name on it and u have to go straight into the washroom and bring no purses or jackets or even sweaters. And they dip test them in the other room and if ur dirty u have to go in and drink every day at the pharmacy. I was dirty once or twice in the begining after getting all my carrys and he would take one away and then I would be clean the next week so he would give it back. But there are a bunch of people that are always dirty lol so they just go in and drink everyday its not big deal to them. to me its a big inconvience.

The only way they would kick u out of the clinic is if ur caught cheating obviously but if u dont come in an drink every day and dont show up for a month and stuff like that cuz they know ur doing drugs and when u cant get them ur just coming there to get methadone so ur not in withdrawls but ur not serious about actually getting off drugs and ur life back ur just using it as a go between for drug withdrawl.

so im better off getting off k pin and goin thru that w/d while im on methadone still......................

Hard to say, but ya i guess u gotta choose one or the other. to bad there are not other clinics around u that allow u to use a benzo if u have a script.

They may allow it if you sign a release to your dr. i heard but i never told my dr. that i had any drug problems . thought he never would give me a benzo , and at that time wasnt planning on going on methadone
so if i went back to him now , im too scared to tell him and get cut off

Crazy how opaites dont help with Benzo WD's as it works the other way around. When and if i go through some opaite WD's benzo's (kpins and xnanax) always seem to help with the WD's

When I go through opiate withdrawal, taking a benzo (such as Xanax) will help me get some sleep and aid in the anxiety associated with opiate withdrawal. It will also help relax my muscles but it doesn't do much at all when it comes to the aches and pain associated with opiate withdrawal. That's just me.

if tramadol are so weak why would they have such bad with drawal ?
wish i could quit methadone with tramadol lol

whoa, this thread fucking sucks. too bad, because the original question was good.

im curious, if you are ever in a situation where you are going to go through benzo WD, and only have access to opiates, how neuroprotective would that be? would you still have glutamate related damage? reduced? and while i'd imagine opiates would help with symptoms, i wonder to what extent? and would it be more like masking or actually reducing symptoms?

^If you're w/ding from enough benzos to produce seizures, then taking opioids could actually exacerbate this risk.

Opioids could help manage some of the symptoms such as anxiety and restlessness but I'd be skeptical that there would be much neuro-protection.

I doubt there is a lot of good scientific information on this because I can't imagine a context where doctors would ever administer opioids to people in benzo withdrawal as a treatment for such.

you should still definately do a taper...
eg
3 mg week 1
2mg week 2
1.5mg week 3
1mg week 4
0.75mg week 5
0.5mg week 6
0.25mg week 7
0.0125 week 8

and you're off in two months with reletavilily less anxiety rebound/insomnia and all the other horrible things benzo W/D entrais...

OR

You convert your dose of clonaz to an equivalent dose of diazepam (valium) 3mg clonaz=60mg diaz approx...

then you drop your doses by 10% per week, it will be longer, but a lot easiear than a clonaz taper

like today i took 2 mg so far and im ok but knowing i have the bottle there makes me wanna take more

I'm beginning the careful tapering process of my 6mg - 8mg a day consumption for the last 3 or 4 months, to nothing.... starting tomorrow... I know regardless of how carefully this is handled by the doctor it's going to be a bitch

no you would just be replacing one addictive substance with another. taper your way off, go to rehab, or get suboxone/methadone treatment

I am on methadone and the clinic doesnt allow benzos but half the ppl there get away with it anyway

whatever i dont really care . worse they can do is send u to a benzo detox and then put u back on program
