^ I think it had more to do with people abusing them and not having access to sites like BL; hence not knowing how to do a CWE and causing themselves serious damage, especially gastric ulcers as d_m mentioned. The reason a lot of the codeine threads here were closed (and this one's heading in that direction) was not only the quantity here in Aus DD but also that a lot of them were really glorifying it. I mean honestly hands up here if you're a BL veteran who has abused codeine and it was partially due to reading about it here?

(only for me it was the splittable N+ that kicked things off)
Exactly the same here on all counts. I think it's relatively important to have some food in your stomach when drinking an extraction for exactly this reason. Sure it'll slow absorption and you won't get as high as quickly but it's worth it for the sake of harm reduction

drug_mentor said:There was a good period where I predminantly used ibuprofen containing pills to perform CWE because it is slightly less harmful in high doses than paracetamol, and also because it was generally a tad more cost effective and ibu pills generalyl contain a little more codeine.
When I was using CWE heaviest, probably 3 or 4 nights a week, I was using ibuprofen formulations almost exclusively and I definately noticed stomach problems in particular acid reflux, which I have never suffered from with any degree of frequency before or since. I tend to find that I can get a pretty clear solution from para pills after a shirt squeeze and running it through a coffee filter, 2 at the most. Ibu pills on the other hand, it seems no matter how many times I run it through coffee filters (I have as many as 5 or 6 before) the solution is always cloudy.
