Bushdoof checklist

wazza that Camelbak Skeeter is for kids aged 5-10. I would love an adult sized one though...

Word to tha bucket bong.

!!!GO TEAM BUCKET!!!

All of Team Bucket will be present at EC btw, y'all just try to resist :)

okay other essentials:

- Earplugs -> when the soundsytem is gonna be like this years earthcore on the mainstage. Also great when you are still trippin and wanna get some sleep and the music is so hard and loud at 7:00am it's sending u to some weeeeeeeeeird places :P

light for campsite- i know it's already been said but it makes sooooooooo much difference.

Its bn said but baby wipes such a neccissity!
A hammock
A hammer & tent pegs (its ridicuious how many times i've seen ppl trying to bash bent pegs in with a stearing lock)
A camera and pen and paper
A chunky belt to preferably tie all important things to, keys, camera torch sanity....

OMFG!!!!!!!!

i just got offered free tickets to earthcore!!!!!

this was totally out of the blue. two days ago, i wouldn't have even dreamed of going to earthcore(okay okay, i've dreamed about it), and now i am going.

all i have to do now is line up a plane ticket(i live in perth), and figure out where i'ma gonna stay. but that doesn't matter, i'm going to earthcore! yay!!!!

so now i will be relying heavily on your doof wishlist.

i have been doofing for over a year, and already have my own little list.... BUT

this is my first earthcore, AND my first ever time to melbourne, so i think i will need to add a few things, and also take some off!

so far i have:

Water(will it be provided, ie taps, or will i need to bring 3 days worth)
Warm + Cool clothes
sleeping bag, mat, pillow
tent
food(aarrrggghhh, i gots nuffin to cook it on tho)
Poi, of course (i would bring my fire stick, but they aint allowed on planes :( )
beanie
toilet paper
camera wid lotsa film

i'm sure there's more, but i can't think right now. i'm too excited!

so, can any melbournites or seasoned earthcorians add anything to my list that may be of use?
altho one thing to rememer is, i have no idea how i will get there, so i may not be able to bring too much, as it may ALL need to be stored in my tent!

cheers, and can't wait to meet some of you guys.

this was the most unexpected thing to happen to me all year, and also the best thing to happen to me all year! =D

No offence or anything hehe, but 7am? YOU WANT TO SLEEP AT 7AM! 8*@$^#@*&$^@(*&$^(@&*$(*@&$^)@*#)@*(^% THATS TOTAL SIN! SINFUL BEHAVIOUR MISTER! hehehehehehe :D =D 8) :D %) 8o

7am is the best time of the party cuz a) its sunrise, b) its when awesome music is played and c) CUZ ITS DAYTIME AND DAYTIME ROCKS.

my advice to you: dont have acid till 3-4am... and dont have pills, that way, you wont be scattered by morning, and you CAN PLAY IN ZE DAY!

hehe :)

Schizo: you forget that wazza is about the size of a 10 year old =D

I take;
a safty pin to pin my keys to me
my keys
water or juice :)
lollies
$10 and some silver, for the phone and for some chai and munchies
bouncy shoes
socks
a warm jumper
sunscreen
a nice blankie
and some band aids to pre-emt the blisters.

I should remember to bring;
food,
a thermos of chai,
a colouring in book,
a tarp,
my swimmers,
and a towl.

and pockets, you have to have pants with pockets or you 'mislay' items like your spare change.. damn hippies.

lol@taliana.......... my morning is the favourite time at doofs however i was just giving that example because it was the one i remember absolutly HEADFUCKING ME!

oh yeah and if anyone has these they are great for the few day festivals.

Tarp poles! With pegs and ropes....... great when there is a lack of trees.

Loads of Cigarrettes (complete with good ashtray. Don't want to be responsible for an early close due to bushfire, burnt cars and smouldering hippies!)

Good CD's (For the car stereo, when acid for the 2nd day straight is sending you clinically insane and you just need some Floyd! :D)

Spiderman costume & one for a friend (any character) (this teamed with mushrooms is the most fun i ever had! :D brilliant!)

Yay! for costumes! I most definately will have to dress up some time soon - sounds like mad fun!

What else can I add of value to this thread... Nope, I'm drawing blanks. EVerything I've thought of has been said :(

Nangs would top it for Earthcore and Rainbow Serpent.

I am also thinking about taking one of those big fire-fighting backpack things to cool everybody down. You know, those small tanks of water that you strap on your back with a hose to put fires out?

Here's a pic....

Hehe, what a tool!

Just a reminder for people who want to take pets into a national park (if the doof happens to be in one) it happens to be illegal and one thing native australian fauna don't need is one more feral domesticated animal preying on them..... leave the rave dog, cat, ferret, mouse, elephant etc at home!
Just checked the long term weather forecast and it is for rain in the summer months, so a nice goretex jacket is the shizzney for keeping dry and relatively cool while your stomping your own mudhole.
Food that isn't all complete crap- trust me by day 3 you'll wish you brought fruit and veg.
Cabana- nice meaty substance (if ya into that) that doesn't require heating and can keeps rather well
Weather ballon- here's hoping ICFML brings his, it holds 2 mighty boxes. HOOZAH!
If there's a river for swimming bring river shoes, rocks can really shred your feet up.
Tea and coffee- awwww yeah!
Deodorant- nobody likes a smelly doofer, unless your one of those annoying people SDB alluded and are ideologically opposited to not smelling like satan's derriere. If you do wear it though remember to wash it off after a day or two, because then it starts to decompose and actually smells worse than the most rank BO
Super-Soaker (if not raining)
Hacky Sack
Towel (hitch-hikers guide recommends one and it hasn't let me down on my travells across the galaxy)
Some thing that will help identify your tent from a distance
oh yeah bring IT, unless IT has already been brought

i will write y'all the words of our the song about the official MOST IMPORTANT DOOFING EQUIPTMENT

"camelback! camelback! with a strap! oooooohhhhh i love my camelback with a strap!"

we initally thought we would sing about "hydration systems"... but camelback fits SOOO much better!

hehe, and good socks... for if ur wearing shoes... good socks can really help in the fight against blisters!!!

and thongs... like ur comfiest nicest most loved up pair of tongs... so u can walk around when ur not dancing dancing dancing, and not have to worry about standing on a rusty nail or something....

so i say, camelback, thongs, good socks, oh an i cant forget a tarp (screw a tent) and if ur paranoid about bugs bring a mosquito net...
and of course water.
and bug spray.
and warm wollie clothes... but as we al say in the big wide world of SELLING camping gear... the most imortant thing with clothing is LAYERING! many little ayers means u can alter ur body temperature much easier! but as i am risking sounding like camping gear selling camping tool... i will depart... most of the other words of wisdom i have to sa, have already been said...

peace!

oh oh!!! and a head torch! and a spoon!!!

I know some people who are doing that! Not in the true spirit of the doof tho, plus going back and forth would be a pain and you'd miss stuff. Plus Taliana would kill you for being a doof heathen and breaking the doofer code (is there such a thing, if not there prolly should). Plus there is the matter of driving while intoxicated, comfort is all well and good- but not if costs you and your mates their lives. Keep it HR!

.

indeed doofqueen...pfft

OK....
pre-mix cans for the morning
personal ashtray
torch
papers
spare pair of socks
marker so you know where your camp is

PS....consider catching the bus...did it last year and was well worth it.
