I have fibromyalgia and degenerative disc disease and am currently on a lot of meds for that and treatment resistant major depressive disorder.
About a year ago I started noticing that once in a while my tears actually cause a burning sensation in my eyes and the only conclusion I can come to is that my body is periodically expelling or producing an enzyme or chemical which is acting as an irritant.
I'm on
Gabapentin 800mg 4x/day
Savella (milnacipran, much like Lyrica) 50mg 2x/day
Ropinirole (for RLS/tremors) 2mg 1x/day
birth control
Lexapro 20mg 1x/day
Abilify 2mg 1x/day
Cogentin 1mg 2x/day
Hydrocodone (but I take morphine, dilaudid, heroin sometimes)
tizanidine (Zanaflex) at bedtime
and a bunch of diphenhydramine
Could any of these be at fault? I think the Savella and the Gabapentin were the only things of these I was on when this first started so I'm more inclined to think it's the illness/my body. Anybody else had issues with this?
