bupe equivalence to oxy

The pills say B8 so I assume that is 8 mgs.

Yes, B8's are 8mg Subutex pills.
(there's some kind of cross on the other side of the pill, some say it's a sword, some say it's a syringe... :) , it's only a mark to cut the pill in two in fact...)

I believe its called a caduceus...

Its actually a snake/serpent coiled upon the staff of Asklepios (Latin, Aesculapius), the ancient Greco-Roman god of medicine. However, in the United States, the staff of Asklepios (the Asklepian) and a double serpent–entwined staff with surmounting wings (the caduceus) are both popular medical symbols. The latter symbol is often designated as the "medical caduceus" and is equated with the ancient caduceus, the double serpent–entwined staff of the Greco-Roman god Hermes (Latin, Mercury).

It's not a caduceus.
It' a simple cross (two lines crossing).
There's a long vertical line, and almost at the top, it's crossed by a very small horizontal line, that's why it makes people think it's a sword or a syringe (but that's not serious)...

it'd be really funny if they put a picture of a needle on pills that are supposed to help recovering dope addicts. Not necessarily funny haha, but you know, in a weird and sick way... That way when you take your medicine, it just makes you think even more about what you'd rather be doing than that and how the pill binds you to it and makes dope pointless if you don't force yourself not to take it for a while..

That's what I'm ytalking about, it really looks like either a sword, or a syringe, no?

It looks like either a sword or a dagger but def. not a syringe or a snake coiled around a pole.

Yeah, I always thought it was a sword(I could never figure out the reasoning for it though[you're fighting off your addiction?]). It's the same thing on the back of the suboxones too. It is the only thing close to a score, and doesn't help too much with cutting them(here, the 8's are half as expensivve as the 2's[pharmacy-wise], so I cut them up a lot). I just thought it would be really funny and a good example of corporate logic("well, they're for junkies, so why don't we put a needle on it to remind them how bad their life used to be") if they had put a syringe on it

When I was still using Opiates I loved to get my hands on some Buprenorphine (suboxone). I would take 8mg and it was very recreational - it even lasted over 16-24 hours.. I would much rather have Buprenorphine than Oxy if I was a minor user. However, if you take Opiates everyday or especially Bupe everyday.. you will not feel anything but "satisfaction" when you take Bupe.

I have gotten conflicting information on wether bupe shows up in a standard 5 panel piss test. I have asked this question in Drug Testing Q&A and no one answered with a definate answer. I've heard yes and no answers. So I'm asking again here in a higher traffic zone. Does anybody know for sure if bupe will show up as positive for opiates in the standard 5-panel piss test?

Can anyone tell me, how hard is it to get Subutex instead of Suboxone from a doctor for addiction or even pain? Could people think suboxone isnt euphoric at all for the simple fact that it has Naloxone in it. If so it seems that Subutex or Buprenex would probably be more euphoric than Suboxone. For god sakes what addict wants to take something with Nolaxone in it?

I've always been told no, but they can test for it if they want. I think I remember something about the test for it used to be really expensive but is now really affordable, idk. The point is, I don't think it show up unless they specifically test for it, which they probably won't as it's not really thought about as a commonly abused drug in the general public at least. But if you're risking a great job, or jail, or something major, I wouldn't rely on just my word alone. Good luck.

Disprin is also made by Reckitt Benckiser who manufacture Suboxone/tex it seems as if its there own corperate logo. To me it seemed like an altered version of a caduceus, that sword and the crooked handle is what implied that.

Lee-
I have hometest kits I use on occasion to see how fast I clear a substance, its been positve for opiates [bupe]. I have heard other say it doesnt show up, it does for me. Which kinda scares me as I went to symposium concerning future methods/meds for drug treatment and one of the doctors also mentioned bupe not showing-up in urine samples and if I had to take drug drops I would be more concerned.

Freak-
The most common way is to complain about the headaches that the Naloxone tends to produce in some patients. Some docs will switch the patient to Subutex to stop the headaches.

Bupe does not metabolize in morphine or codeine.

It metabolizes into norbuprenorphine, among a few other things. A general drug test, or one for opiates, will not go positive. You will only show up if it is specifically tested.

off topic:

I know my point is weak as I am tired and late your correct about its testing for its metabolites but tests are newer these days and some do test for bupe.

positves for bupe

There is a bit of misinfo on the subject and I am not clear on it myself. As I have tested positive on a NIDA-5 and 7 hometest with bupe, now whether or not that test was equiped for buprenorphine testing IDK, at the moment. Any sent out sample these days [in my area at least] are screened for opiates and bupe will return a positive. A simple home-test might beat it but not for long bupe will be commonly tested in the future as it seems there is already plenty of bupe test kits out there. Just looked @ my last test I took positive for opiates [bupe was the only one I was using] Not sure what brand packaging just says : Multi-Drug Screen Test Panel Catalog #: DOA-254 [Coc/Amp/mAmp/Thc/Opi]
Exp: 2006/10 no name brand on this bitch anywhere unless its 'Multi-Drug Screen Test'

Q. My client is taking Subutex (supervised). Why is the test result negative?

A. Research that Altrix has carried out on the detection of Buprenorphine in Intercept® samples has led us to conclude that an individual who is taking 8mg every 24 hours will usually have a detectable level of Buprenorphine in their sample for up to 24 hours following the last use of the drug.

Lower doses of Buprenorphine will mean a shorter period of detection and this will vary widely from person to person – please refer to Altrix Fact File 3 for more information. link

ehh :\

blahblah thanks for those links. I guess what I could do is call the lab and ask them if they test for bupe in the 5-panel NIDA piss test, which I have to take, if chosen at random. I don't take anywhere near 8mg a day. This would be a recreational once or twice a month dose of 3 or 4mg.

The first link you provided also puzzles me because it states heroin is detectable for only 1 to 2 days. Isn't it supposed to be 3 days?

It looks like I'll just have to call the lab to make sure.

I have too good of a job to risk losing.

Results of my equivalency test:
Trying to be as objective as I can.
In my physique, male 210 lbs, non opiod dependent(Although I have a heavy dope habit in my past), I found 3.2 mg of bupe to feel just slightly less powerful that 40mg of oxy. I'd say 3.2mg of bupe is about equal to 35mg of oxy. And it was very pleasantly euphoric, inspirational, and productive. The euphoria is slightly less then H or oxy but only slightly. Felt just like I did a bag of some above average dope. I mean I was nodding in and out hard and had some seriously intense hallucinodreams. At one point I was daydreaming someone took my shorts off and I was following them through a museum. It was very nice, but probably not worth the price.

My means of administation was plugging a very warm and totally dissolved solution. There was definately a rapid onset of effects, not anything like the rush produced by a vein hit but still quite enjoyable. I was also on a euphoric plateau for a lot longer then dope or oxy. Main desired effects lasted 2 solid hours, and in fact I'm still in a laid back nod-stage 7 hours after administration.

Part 2 is that I have a feeling I'll have to wait around 2 weeks to get this same bang or I'm just headin towards tolerance and addiction.

I had no headache whatsoever. I have the tiny .2mg Temgesics. So I had to crush 17 of them to equal out to 3.2mg pure buperenorphine. The only problem is the price. I'm still prety numbed up and noddy 11 hours later. Nice stuff.

For some reason I wasn't expecting to get itchy at all because it's synthetic, but I was itchin on my nose pretty bad.

Update. blahblah, I did get a headache the next day, it was a full 18 hours later, is that what you're talking about? Is there any added danger to plugging this stuff as opposed to snorting it? I'm a big fan of plugging for greatest absorbtion and also because I bruise like a rotten apple. Also, it seemed like I was numb for 2 solid days and didn't have much of a libido. Is this par for the course?
