Brisbane/Gold Coast BL meetup - 8th December - HOOTERS - Mermaid Beach!

As an aside, my best friend really liked everyone she met yesterday, having said that, she still thinks bluelight is silly and probably won't join. I told her that if she did, she could run amok as much as she wanted, and i'd e-protect her LMAO (not really)

I'm keeping this open, because there's the 22 September meetup. I'm putting forward an early proposal of venue: Bar Allahmbra. This place is just beautiful. Dark lighting, loads of couches and absinthe cocktails. Deep, dirty house music with a live drummer (playing bongos) accompanying the dj. They also have an outdoor area, alas, you can't drink and smoke out there. If we're after drinking and smoking at the same time, i'll suggest the Fringe Bar.

Allahmbra may not be everyones cup of tea, but i'd love to go there, even for a while. Joannie, i think you and P1 would love it! :D
 
kudos to all that were there sunday arvo - you are all really easy cats to chill with:) pity i got there so late tho...
top save pilsnapa btw - offereing me a blue lighter, gave me the giggles that one did haha.
oh and cheers again for the mini-beer can - too cool! it's taken pride of place on my display shelf in the kitchen=D

agree allahmbra is a swish venue - and it would definately get my vote over fringe - the fringe just doesnt sit right with me for some reason... ah well

had fun - will enjoy again i'm sure!

Allahmbra is the goodness. Barsoma is similar and possibly better for meetup action (dark, sofas, chilled instead of dancy music).

Was great meeting Loud247 n Pillsnapa. Cool dudes. Will have to go out and run amok sometime when im not still shaking/jibbering from the previous nights exploits.

RE: drunk fucktards at the RG. Just before everyone turned up, T (b/friend) and I witnessed fisty-cuffs at the RG... Absolutely ridiculous. I kept thinking, "come on fellas, it's sunday arvo, the band has BONGOS for Christ sakes, about as un-aggro as you can get - just feel the love."
 
yeah i think it was maxload who was asking me about it - didn't see it but for shame!
as for the boys on bongos and guitar, they are mates of mine - timbah, great rootsy/bluesy acoustic rock sound, i was hoping they'd be playing - hence why i suggested the rg in the first place hahha

on the fucktron topic - how was old mate standing next to us at that dry bar? how he wasn't kicked out i'll never know!

you're a trooper maddog - i could see you were putting in a valiant effort (i myself was a little dusty too... unemployment and a paycheck will do that to you on a full weekend out.)

can't wait for the next one - hopefully we will have a few more numbers and a few less hangovers:D
