Bright orange object in sky

Finding new lows.
I fear the dead now total over 7 billion.
I have awoken to see a strange, fiery orange ball in the sky. It is radiating warmth so I expect it to melt my house as it gets angrier.
I have sacrificed three cats, two virgins and one particularly slutty frog to appease the fireball. It only rises farther.
To all those left on Earth: get to your bunkers and don the tin foil hats.

Morning has broken :)
 
in basic terms it means the sun has risen and the sky must be clear for the sprout to see this globe of orange.( the sun )

Nothing :D - some people used to worship the sun and sacrifice people to keep the 'sun god' happy. It may have been miserable or cloudy in Sprouts region recently and they are having fun at this new glowing object etc.
 
We haven't a sunny day up here in 4 months, I was referencing the fear that the glowing orb must be a sign of the apocalypse Eve. :)

The fireball seems to have been appeased and the rainstorm has resumed. The door of my shed is now in next door's garden. Yay f' t' 'ills.

I too saw the 'golden orb' this morning and did prostrate myself before the gods in readiness for the subsequent 'golden shower'. They did not disappoint...
 
It has earned me nine bob today just by shining, so that's not a bad result all told. Some days in the depths of Winter, it doesn't make enough to run the "not generating" red light on the FiT meter. (But on those days, I just take a good book in the understairs cupboard and read it by the red light .....)
 
There is a white shiny object in the sky above us at the moment, but the sky is black.

Is this the end of times, or it is just a search and rescue helicopter looking for English mountain climbers?

Or perhaps it is the sun on nightshift?
 
Did not one of your oil rig mate's girlfriend think the moon was the sun at night? Bless her, she was a lovely girl...
 
hm sometime i get the feeling the morning sun is just as bleary as myself... and we both have to tread on till a decent sleep time, doing our usual ... shining for the world and all that
