Television Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad TV Series

Who else has been watching this? I've wanted to for a while, always saw bits and pieces, well it recently came out on netflix stream so I'm half way into the second season. I like it but lately it's been pissing me off and I'm not sure i really want to finish through with it. Kinda wanna just read the rest on what happens so i don't waste my time. Has anyone else on here been watching this? Does it get better?

^we've got one of these. always a good idea to check out this thread before starting a new thread for a movie or tv show.

Cool thx, i usually search (i swear!)

Is it just me, or is are the characters choice of actions in the second season kinda annoying others? My problem with it is that the wife is acting like a bitch and he's kinda letting her. The episode I'm talking about is where it ends with her smoking a cig while pregos, and after all he's been though you think he would toughen up on his wife a little (not in a bad way, he's a bad ass when he needs to be but at home it's like I'm watching him give in) The dialog has just been a little unconvincing in the family scenes. And yea i know it's a drama :P

Anybody?

Anyone else feel like this season is progressing so quickly? This season has had more drama and twists than the last 2 combined.

Gus was a fuckin G on last nights episode. Love his character, so proper and business like yet so thug at the same time. Surprised they didn't have a single(that i remember) scene with Hank this episode. Still, each episode has not failed to impress, awesome show - favorite by far.

Sometimes when watching this show I stop and think, "I've already seen Weeds."

I'm also in the middle of the second season and it does seem to slouch a bit at this juncture. I'm willing to weather the storm though, as the high-points have been awesome up until now and apparently season three is the best yet. But something's gotta happen soon, like Walt killing Hank in cold blood or something. It's dragging a bit.

p.s. thinking about changing my username to Heisenberg. Hmm.

That was such a sick episode! I dunno why Jessie didn't turn his gun on Mike and Gus... a little cold hearted for sure, but it was a get out of jail free card right there.

I feel you on progressing so quickly, lots has happened this season. I read last night that after the fourth season has finished, they will shoot and air a fifth and final season. I wanted to cry :(

I also thought Giancarlo Esposito's performance last night as Gus was out of this world. I really enjoy watching his calculated, perfectionist villain character and last night when he raised his voice and started yelling, my jaw was hanging open. I predict that Gus and Mike both die shortly after returning to NM, if not on the car ride back, and Jesse and Walt are left to run the empire. My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy ;) It's definitely a race at this point to see whether Hank will catch Gus before Walter has the chance to kill him.

LOVE this show, it is definitely the best scripted drama on TV currently.

Fuck that was a good episode.

I love Gus' little Goodfellas walk into the party where everybody is dying, with him walking through it like the calm psychopathic mothafucka he is until he spots Don Eladio, where he gives him that intense ass look that we know Gus is capable of before he falls into the pool.

And Jesse should take inventory of how many dogs he has killed. Two so far :D

^ That one solidified his position. The way he instantly and instinctively emptied the clip summed up the fact that he's not the light hearted, fun-loving punk kid anymore, he's climbing the ladder of the underworld.

This season is building up so well. I literally jumped out of my seat as yesturdays episode peaked. Exciting stuff.

I'm watching more, i feel I'll miss out by just reading it cus yea, there have been some pretty good scenes. I guess for wanting it more dark and true to life is asking to much for AMC.

I like max power better, although heisenberg does roll right off the tongue :)

Last night was the best episode ever! I was thinking that Gus had knowingly brought Jesse to mexico to leave him there as a slave for the cartel. That would have been a perfect way to handle him if Gus was suspicious that Jesse was going to kill him. The whole poisoning thing was done really well with Gus wearing the gray jacket, and the way he was sitting alone after they all drank the poison it reminded me of a funeral kind of vibe. Also there is no doubt anymore Gus operates 100% for the business with no emotion. He fucking drank poison in order to kill his rivals! Now I suppose that capsule he took in the start of the scene was charcoal to buffer against the poison at first I was wondering why they showed that, it looked like herbs or vitamins.

Did anybody else think that Skylar deserves an ass whipping for giving away over $600K ? Obviously she is worried about liability if the IRS gets involved in looking at her for being the bookkeeper but I don't think she has the right to take money from the stash like that. And also, when they were depicting Walt as being the most worried and unsure about his status he's ever been I failed to sympathize with him. The dude has turned into an ass, and destroying a new car shows a lot of I-don't-give-a-fuckness that's hard to understand.

I have been wondering how Mike managed to not drink the poison tequila, it seems it should have been suspicious that Gus was the only one in his group to drink.
