I saw some wanna be umphreys McGee band last night. Don't even remember their name, but they opened with feel like a stranger. They were pretty good. I beat a lot of UM youngins down with awesome toor stories. I think I'm an honorary UM elder now. Again, barfed on myself. I'm either gonna couch tour Phish tonight or go see Sam Holt.
 
I've walked past UM sets at least 5 or 6 times, never actually stayed for the whole thing...

I seen That One Guy open for Buckethead and then they played together one time
It was a pretty crazy show, I always liked BH playing with him or a band instead of doing his solo thing which just gets boring after a while

Because Buckethead has zero charisma live...he just kinda stands there and shreds. He's a great musician but a boring performer.

That 1 Guy, on the other hand, is a great musician and a great performer.

Anytime I see him he talks my ear off about him, he is pretty finger pickin good though

I just don't think my friend listens to anything else by the way he shits all his Derek Trucks nonsense down my throat constantly
 
I'll be seeing Dinosaur Jr. next month, then R.Ring (Kelley Deal's new band) in March.
 
looks like i'll be seeing widespread for 2 nights in april. dates released today.

i've probably told you this before but i was walking to class downtown and j mascis ran into me on the sidewalk and was very nice and picked up all my books for me.

me too. it's a bummer when people turn out to be dickwads. he could have just left me there, sprawled on the concrete but he didn't. i appreciate that.

Russian Circles should be pretty awesome

I don't even have to say anything abut a Godspeed show being incredible because it's policy here in nemd that any hate on them equals instant banhammer
I am jelly though since I've never caught one of there shows, yet...
 
Having seen A Silver Mt Zion 3 times live, and Godpseed only once live. I believe I prefer ASMZ. That's when it comes to live gigs though.
