CANCELLED! WTF..I have the worst luck with Napalm.

Tonight:

Hatebreed
Sick of It All
Crowbar
Suffocation
two shite bands

@ roseland, NYC. Should be a good one!

jesus. one of the best shows I have been to in a minute. It was one of those wonderful times when each band tried to outperform the other.

Suffocation destroyed. Sick of it All...I don't know much of their shit even though they have been around for 20 years...they blew the house down. Then Hatebreed did what Hatebreed does and absolutely sent the crowd into a frenzy.

worth every goddamn penny. :)

edit: I wasn't sure if the crowd would work. I figured the Suffocation fans were there for them and Crowbar and maybe Hatebreed. But everyone stayed for the entire show and even though Sick of it All is hardcore punk, I did not hear one person complaining about them..even the biggest leather-bound metal head.

Hatebreed had some of the most serious pits I have seen. No fights. Hooray!

That's a fucking amazing set, you lucky son of a bitch!

I saw Claypool and His Frog Brigade in Manchester this past summer. 'Twas much more than simply a badass show. It was...indescribably awesome. Haha.

...And that sounds even better.:D

Sorry folks. I fucked up the merge and PG's post is at the very front of this thread. :o

I reckon Finder'll take me out back and straighten me out. I only hope I get to pick the switch this time.

In response to pg's show: I've seen claypool's side projects 3-4 times and loved all of them. He's so fucking talented and I think his shows embrace his personality. I understand why people really dislike the addition of Gabby Lala but I don't really mind her. But I'm admittedly biased for two reasons:
1. almost every show I go to reeks with testosterone... it's nice to have some estrogen in the mix too
and 2. I met her and she was really adorable and sweet to all the fans.

Anyway! I'm jealous pg, sounds like an awesome show. Trey and Les definitely mold well together.

A friend of mine contacted me earlier this week and told me to make sure that I was at this show, no matter what. I hadn't heard of them, and the best description anybody could offer me was "psychedelic". It was a blast. Psychedelic kinda sorta describes it, but I like my explanation better.

Its like if Jim O'Rourke overdosed on acid and the dream he had before he died was of two cars, speeding towards eachother in the desert, one driven by an old blue man, and the other one the tour bus for the flaming lips, wherein the lips are playing contra and listening to Boston. The vehicles collide, setting off a nuclear reaction, and the star child is born.

Here's their myspace. They're touring, and you should see them if you've ever liked anything I've ever said.

4/6 Fu Manchu

nice.

i've seen them twice. the last time, in which they opened for clutch, they had a "moment".

it's hard to describe but at a particular spot in one of their songs they really killed it.

i heard some1 behind me say "daaamn", in the way ppl do when they see some thing really cool, to his buddy.

anyway....i'm going to see-

clutch

FATA were pretty damn good. I like to see Fran as the frontman, it definitely works.
