I'm not even that big a fan, but tickets were 15 bucks and I feel like I should see them. Plus it gives me a chance to finally check out the Empty Bottle. I have an extra if you want it. :D
 
^I've been there. I liked it, but it's nothing special, I guess. I seem to recall hot bartenders. And the food next door was excellent.
 
I haven't been to a lot of the decent rock clubs in Chicago, surprisingly. Like Subterranean, Empty Bottle, The Note, et cetera.

I'll be hitting it up again on September 23 (a Saturday) to see one of my favorite KC bands, The Life And Times. Chicago folk are encouraged to attend.

Tortoise is gonna be in NYC soon too. They are awesome to see. I wonder if they are sporting any new tunes. I am gonna have to go sell some bone marrow to get tickets if they haven't already sold out.
 
^^Selling bone marrow?!?! I hope you mean plasma. Do you have any idea how painful it is to have marrow extracted? Yikes!

I leave in two days for the Austin City Limits Festival. Woohoo!!

They just came out with a new boxset, apparently. There is a reissue of some out of print album in there as well.
