I apologize if this is kinda long, but I'd really appreciate people's thoughts and input.
I've tripped countless times, mostly on acid. I've done DMT, ketamine, 2C-Xs, mushrooms, peyote, etc. You name it and I've probably tried it. I usually like to to trip because I enjoy the way it opened my mind and expanded the way I viewed the world. I obviously also liked the alternate reality it put you in with the intense visuals that are unique to each of the hallucinogens.
Here's my question, which may be hard to answer because tripping is such a personal experience, but I figure I'll give it a shot.
Like I said, I've mainly dealt with LSD. It was always really pure and I always had a great time on it.
Well yesterday I tripped on some freshly grown mushrooms grown by some people I know. I have't tripped mushrooms in about 5 years, so I was really excited to see how it compared to LSD and the other drugs I've taken. I ate about 2 grams dried and 20 grams fresh.
While on the trip, however, I found myself getting kind of "bored." I was definitely tripping hard, the visuals were really intense and the close eyed visuals were probably some of the most intense/realistic I've ever experienced. However, right before I peaked and for the rest of my trip, all I could think about was how I knew exactly what was gonna happen. It was a feeling like, "well, i've done this so many times. everything is moving, colors are inverting, etc. but nothing profound is happening and probably won't
Do any of you experience this type of feeling while tripping? I always space out trips at least a few months apart so that the experience is worthwhile, but I feel that now if I trip again it's just gonna be lame. I feel that maybe it's time for me to close my "hallucinogenic vault" forever and never do them again. Anyone else experience something similar?
