The worst part about MDMA for athletes is probably the disruption of diet and training. You usually aren't eating while partying, aren't eating when coming down, and aren't eating much the next day or so. And, there is a certain disruption of the nervous system from MDMA; it seems possible (though purely speculative) that downregulation of receptors on muscle/nerve fibers could actually reduce your ability to fully recruit muscle fiber contraction in the days to weeks after use.
At any rate, no, partying hard isn't good for an intensively training athlete. It's not terrible good for anybody, really.But...it's certainly not going to burn off pounds of muscle at a time under any sort of normal circumstances.
I agree with the disruption of diet and training for the fullest! Plus for guys that are hitting the gym loading on BACC's, glutamine (anti-catabolic) supplements will help. I also try and have a protein shake during my roll now yes it sucks but helps. Next day I just feel flat but not like I lose much muscle.
To many people (not saying anybody in this post) are more worried about there mood and not there body.
