Bluelighters discuss recent greenlights

I don't get annoyed with new people who join BL. I do notice that many, perhaps most of the time I have found an answer to green questions on Google or through search, and if I can find an answer, anyone can find an answer. So that still makes me wonder if greenlights are sometimes alts for setups. Trolling for illegal info. I don't know if they are or are not, I am just putting forth the possibility.

There is always new information comming out on drugs all the time, and there are always people joining that may be more knowledgable or more experienced on a certain topic. I have put up a search and found a few threads that were titled pretty much the same asking the same question. I read a few of them and there were a bunch of the same answers and people complaining about the played out question saying UTFSE, however, there were quite a few people that gave really helpful information which was not covered in the previous older threads. So sometimes I think it is helpful to repeat a subject because then you can really learn things that were not discussed before. Information and time does not stand still, quite the contrary, there are always new studies yeilding new information. Some of the greenlighters on here may have frequented bluelight longer than some of the bluelighters, just as guests, myself being one of them. I really don't think that I would have ever joined (I just prefered a few other websites where registration was not a requirement and there were by far a lot less rules compared to here, which I like the freedom) if it weren't for the thread about eating fentanyl...my best friends bf died of an overdose this past April from eating one fent patch (fell asleep with it in his mouth) and I didn't see anybody posting a warning so I felt the need to join and post what others had not. But then I kinda got into bluelight a little more, and here I am. I do see how the people that have been here for years are constantly seeing a question being asked repeatedly every month or so that must be annoying.

Dude you can ask most BLers and we'll point you in the right direction brother...

Until they have 50 posts though, they can't message us. And if they don't know they have to wait til they get 50 posts in, then they don't know what else they don't know. I've seen that happen a couple times, where greenlighters were trying to ask specific questions privately and couldn't.

anyway...

rolling go to bed....

Honestly, this forum looks like most other forums I look at, and it's pretty easy to navigate.

yes it is but i cant find one specific section of it that i know exists.

May I point out the following:

Bluelight Support FAQ-- READ BEFORE POSTING! Seriously

A Guide to Searching Bluelight

And a whole forum set aside for posting when you don't know where something ought to go - Homeless Threads....sr. staff will move it to an appropriate forum if you weren't sure.

Personally, as a relatively young and uninformed bluelighter, I find greenlighters' questions which can be easily answered with a google search and a little research on wikipedia and erowid very usefull in my own education. Teaching others is one of the best ways to learn and I get a literally endless supply of possible topics I can read up on and then put into my own words to help those greenlighters out. The repeated questions help me reinforce the more common drug concepts and when other bluelighters chime in on a thread which I researched and attempted to help out with I am sure to get a new perspective and new information on the topic which I may have missed.

Keep up the enthusiasm greenlighters and if you old bluelighters are annoyed with an overasked question just let a young bluelighter like me have a stab at it. Another discussion on the oral bioavailablity of hydromorphone may be an annual occurrence for the veterans, but for those who are gathering information, making arguments, and using their minds to better understand drugs, it can be infinitely more valuable then just having a thread closed with a link to a 5 year old post which says 1/4th IV strength.

Aye, and we also have a Bluelight focused google search engine box atop the non-social forums to aid in finding such information - most of us have gotten so burned out on answering the same questions over and over. But that's also why we volunteered to be on staff - to keep teaching. We (staff) need to keep that in mind, and maintain our patience. That said, what the site overall really depends upon is members like you, who learn and stick around, and help teach others. THIS is why we are a community, a place full of people helping people. Thank you.

True, BUT they can ask other ways, just ask in a thread, I am sure someone will answer!

Ugly I would SO go to bed if I could...

Insomia due to PTSD from my last deployment makes it extremely difficult... ;)

BUT since you said so! ;)

As you noticed I started answering these in private messages, just so the rest of our bluelighters don't get sick of it. Peace, friend.

I think a lot of people on here are TOO paranoid, and convinced that even typing the name of a drug is the reason for the government to tap into their computer...most of these paranoid delusions are unrealistic and technologically probably not possible.

when my friend's facebook told him he should be friends with "diacetyl morphine," i started to worry a little.
