This shot was taken at a place called Newnes in the Blue Mountains in NSW Australia.
It depicts some of the old remnants of what was once a large coal mining operation situated in the middle of the bush. It was operated during the early 1900s and is now just a mass of ruins which covers a surprisingly large area of tens of acres.
arg... i hate that i can't get better quality out of this photo scanner ah well... I stumbled onto this old cemetery by accident and as you can tell i found the contrast of the background more interesting than the tombstones (taken with a polarized filter)
