IMO my photo is nothing compared with the rest of the beautiful photos in this thread.. but I'm just happy to be able to contribute something that I already have on my computer because I can't be bothered to take any new ones (not to mention I don't have that many great photo opportunities for beautiful landscapes where I live)

it really is beautiful! I love all the different terrains in that pic. and the sky is incredible!
 
thanks guys :) i took that photo after hiking for 3-4 days in the section of Jotunheimen called Turtagrø - it's one of the high peaks regions, truly beautiful with 1000 meter high waterfalls cascading into giant turquoise fjords, completely unspoiled wilderness, etc. this was at the end of a long hike, we finally reached the peaks region and found this incredible landscape with a receding glacier (the snow you see is actually a glacier). What an unbelievable experience. And the sky is that colour because of the late Baltic light during summer nights -- this photo was taken around 10:30PM -- colours do weird things when the sun barely sets, you know?

Anyway, the moral of the story is GO TO NORWAY.
